Namjoon and Seokjin developed a close relationship quickly, and within a couple of months they were closer than most people would ever be.
"Hey," Seokjin said tiredly over the phone, sinking down onto his bed and flopping back. He could hear a low chuckle from the other end, making butterflies flutter in his stomach.
"Hey." Namjoon replied, more in agreement than anything else. "How was your day?" The older sighed and spread out over the bed that was way too big for just him. A wave of loneliness hit him, and he laid there for a moment in silence. "Hyung?"
"Oh, it was... eventful." He didn't want to elaborate on piles of paperwork, uncooperative superiors, and more piles of paperwork. Namjoon hummed on the other side.
"Wasn't too good, judging by your tone." Seokjin sighed again.
"Yeah, I'm just tired." He said, propping himself up on his elbows. "But how was your day?"
"Okay, I had to clear up some stuff with a particularly... insistent coworker."
"...Yoongi?" Namjoon didn't respond for a good few seconds, and Seokjin cracked a small smile. Namjoon was probably grimacing at himself by now. "He wasn't like that when we were little.." He sat up, stretching a bit.
"Hyung?" Seokjin hmmed in response, putting the phone on speaker and searching for his glasses. "Can you open the door? It's kind of cold outside." Seokjin blinked.
"Wait... what?"~~
"Surprise," Namjoon said into the phone, a grin on his face. He waited for a few moments and the door opened, revealing his boyfriend in a black button-up showing off his broad shoulders and well-fitting black slacks. The older ogled him with wide eyes, like he couldn't believe that Namjoon was actually there. Namjoon smiled wider, pulling his boyfriend into a hug. "Miss me?" He mumbled into Seokjin's ear. The older pulled away with a small smile on his face.
"Yeah." He mumbled back, poking Namjoon in the cheek. "Come inside." He grabbed Namjoon's hand and practically dragged the younger inside. "How'd you know to come? I was getting lonely."
"The tone of your voice." Seokjin stopped and turned around to look at Namjoon, who was smiling sheepishly, scratching the back of his neck.
"God I love you." He muttered, reaching up to kiss the younger on the lips.
"I would hope." The younger replied sassily, sheepish smile replaced with a cheeky smirk. Seokjin opened his mouth to retort, but Namjoon ducked back to peck him on the lips again.•••
Namjoon watched intently as Seokjin typed away on his laptop, glasses perched perfectly on his nose and eyebrows scrunched together in concentration.
"Hyung, you said you've been lonely recently, right?" Seokjin's fingers stopped clicking on the keys as he turned to look at the younger male.
"Well... not just recently." Namjoon quirked an eyebrow in interest, sipping his tea. Seokjin took a deep breath. "I was adopted into the family, so even though my adoptive mother and father treated me well, I wasn't really close to them. And a couple of years ago, I moved into the family mansion to help take care of my grandfather. I just felt like I needed to.. contribute? The one person I was really close to was Yoongi, but we stopped talking as much after he entered high school." The older sighed, forcing a smile onto his face. Namjoon frowned. Getting up, he walked around the table and wrapped his arms around Seokjin's shoulders from behind. Settling his chin on top of the older's head, he swayed from side to side in a soothing manner.
"I'm guessing Yoongi-sshi is a pretty important person to you then." Namjoon said quietly.
"Yeah..." There was a slight pause. "But enough about me. Did you fix that one weird faucet in your veranda?" The younger stayed silent, and the Seokjin sighed exasperatedly. "I knew-"
"Hey hyung?" The older raised an eyebrow.
"Yeah?"
"Do you maybe want to... um..." Seokjin sat up out of Namjoon's comfortable embrace and looked back at his boyfriend, who was blushing uncontrollably. "Move in... with me?"•••
"He did what?!" Jungkook asked, wide-eyed and coffee untouched in front of him. Seokjin shushed the younger, but an excited gleam still lingered in his own eyes.
"I'm moving in tomorrow." He replied calmly and took a sip of his coffee. He eyed the counter closely, watching just in case Jimin would be there. Jungkook, on the other hand, eyed the older with envy, and some respect.
"How are you so good at this relationship thing? I don't get it, you've never dated anyone else before." Jungkook sighed, sinking back in his chair. It was late Friday afternoon, and neither of them wanted to go back to the office. Seokjin cleared his throat at the comment, eyeing Jungkook.
"We've been dating for nearly 5 months, Jungkook. I would like to think we know each other enough to trust each other. But speaking of relationships... how's going with Taehyung-sshi?" He watched the younger hesitate for a moment.
"..Good...?"
"That sounds like a question." The older deadpanned, giving Jungkook a disapproving look. The younger shied away from it, trying to avoid eye contact. He gave up with a sigh.
"It is a question." He muttered grudgingly.
