The cold air fought it's way into my jacket it was winter and I honestly, had no idea why I was wearing such a garment in this terrible weather. I stood in the little park near my house waiting for Jai.
Jai is my best friend, although, we have not known each other for long. He moved to America from Australia with his five best friends, also known as the Janoskians. Yes if you are wondering if that name rings a bell, they are a comedy-singer group or whatever you want to call it. You can't really define them. But they are funny make videos of themselves doing pranks on YouTube.
Finally, I saw his figure approaching me his muscular arms covered by the long sleeves of his pitch black trench coat. I watched as his mouth grew into a smile and his dark pupils dilated, under the yellowy streetlights. Jai extended his arms and said a cheerful but loud "ARIANA!" And I ran into his his toned arms. He picked me up and spun me around while I giggled in glee.
We are friends OK! Very friendly friends!? ☺️☺️ "JAI!!!" I said annoyyily. He looked me in the eye "ARIANA!" He playfully teased. "Put me down!" I bellowed trying to sound as fierce as possible. "You know you're cute when you try to act tough!" He cooed MOCKINGLY!!! When the commanding didn't work I playfully slapped and threw punches at his arms. "Owwwww!!" He screeched "Okay, okay I will put you down!" And he did just that. "You were too heavy anyway!" He said as he threw his head back in laughter. Pain flashed in my hazelnut eyes and to over my facial expression and body. I stopped dead in my tracks. Jai noticed and looked back at me guilt etched on his facial expressions. " I was joking!" He raised his arms as if to surrender 'Look Ariana, you are the single most beautiful girl I have ever met, now that I'm looking at you I'm getting distracted by your beauty and you are as light as a pillow. You never need to change yourself for anyone because it wouldn't do you justice if you did." At this point was staring deeply into his dark eyes, my body paralysed by the intesity of them. I nodded and quite looked away as I flushed.
We spent the remainder of our time together sitting on the park bench my head on his lap as we just talked and talked. That was us once we started talking we couldn't stop. "Jai? What's the time?" I asked I knew it was late but my mom is out of town and my step-father, Jeremy is working late and usual stays in hotels when he does. "Three a.m, why?" He replyed as I jolted up I need to get home."I...i..have to get home,bye!" Without waiting for answer I left the park and ran to my house.
I arrived outside and the lights were all off. Thank God!! I walked in and let out a huge breath that I seemed to be holding from my little workout. As soon as I did the lights turned on and there stood my step-father I dyed inside as he gestured for me to come over to him. Not this again..........
