Jack is first in the cafe the next day, though he tried his best to guess when the redhead would show up. He still cringes when he thinks about yesterday, hating himself for ruining the opportunity to get to know the other man better.

He guesses pretty well, hearing the door open as he approaches the counter. He glances back to find the tea drinker, strolling in for his drink.

"Hello!" the barista greets. "What can I make for you today?"

"I'll take a medium black coffee," Jack says. "And I'll also be paying for whatever he's getting," Jack continues, pointing to the man in line behind him.

Mark's eyebrow rises in surprise. "Oh! That's okay. You don't have to pay for me."

"No, please, I insist," Jack replies, giving the redhead a small smile.

"Well then I'll have a medium green tea with mint and a splash of milk please," Mark orders.

The woman nods, allowing Jack to pay for their drink. They walk to the pickup counter, glancing at each other while both trying to figure out what to say.

"Uhm, thanks for paying," Mark offers, hoping more interesting conversation will naturally follow.

"No problem," Jack replies, blushing a bit. It's horribly noticeable on his pale skin, causing the tan man to chuckle lightly.

"Sorry about what I said yesterday," Jack continues. "I'm sure there are plenty of reason to love tea."

Mark nods, smiling softly. "It's no big deal. Sorry about what I said about coffee."

"It's okay," Jack replies. "A lot of coffee drinks don't even like black coffee. It's an acquired taste I guess. But, I'm sure there is some type of coffee you would like."

"Maybe," Mark shrugs, not convinced.

"No really," Jack insists. "There is a lot of really good coffee out there."

"I'll believe it when I taste it," Mark chuckles, remembering the bitter taste of yesterday's mixup.

"Then let me buy you a drink," Jack offers. "Tomorrow, I'll get you a coffee I'm sure you'll love."

"But what if I don't like it?" Mark asks, cocking his eyebrow.

"Then I'll buy you a cup of your terrible, terrible tea every day next week," Jack wagers. "But, if you do like it, I'll take your number as my prize."

Mark raises his eyebrows, surprised at the boldness of the green haired man. "That's quite a bet... Sorry, but I didn't catch your name."

"Jack," the green haired man offers, extending his hand.

"Mark," the redhead replies, giving Jack's hand a firm shake. "It's a deal, Jack."

The barista comes with their drink, handing them to the two men. Mark takes his, smiling at Jack and giving his a playful wink. "See you tomorrow," he calls, leaving the cafe.

Jack blushes a bit, his boldness dissolving into nerves. He takes his black coffee, sitting down at a table and beginning to research the best tasting coffee for tea drinks.
