Powers?

Brandon whistled a tune and a bird came flying over and landed on his outstretched arm. He whistled a little more to the bird and she looked directly at me. I waved and she lifted her wings and if waving back. Then the bird did something crazy... she said, "Hi, I am Macy. Nice to meet you." I jumped. I have never heard a bird... TALK!!!! I replied saying, "H-hi Macy I am Autumn... Can you u-understand m-me..?" "Yes." Brandon Just looked at me questioningly, "What?" "Y-you d-didn't have to w-whistle to talk to a bird?" "I don't? is that bad?" Brandon shrugged and asked, "Wait c-can you fly? J-just consentrait." I closed my eyes and concentrated on "up." "Up, up, up, up" I thought. I suddenly started to feel myself rising into the air. I slowly opened one eye a bit, "Yes" I said confidently. I landed with ease.

Brandon looked at mr confused. Then I suddenly heard something. It said, "Autumn, Autumn, can you hear me?" I spoke, "Uhhh yes?" "Wait Autumn could you hear anyone talking on the bus?" "Yes, very loudly. Why?" "Because no one was talking on the bus Autumn. I think you can read thoughts! Thats so cool!" The bell rang and Brandon quickly said, "We got to get to class! Come on!" an quickly gestured for me to follow him.

Brandon showed me to my homeroom on the door it said, "ROOM 207". I walked inside and there where a few people at their sets but not many there. I scanned the room and saw Eric. The Teacher looked up from her desk and calmly said, "Welcome Autumn to our class. care to take a seat?" I sat down in the first row in the center next to Eric. Everyone looked at me funny so I sank down in my chair. I was so sure about coming to school being amazing but it hasn't been very exciting at all so far.

The reacher got up from her desk and wrote on the board, "Mrs. Jackson." Well now I know her name, Mrs. Jackson said, "Welcome students. To The Hero's School for Gifted Supers or HFGS for short. Today we will be learning and figuring out our powers." Oh great I thought to myself "I heard that Autumn." Said Mrs. Jackson facing away from me. Another student raised their hand "Yes. Joe?" said Mrs. Jackson " Excuse me, Mrs. Jackson? Autumn didn't say anything?" "She didn't? but I heard her. She sai- wait. Autumn do you know any of your powers yet?" "Uhhh... well I can talk to birds so far but thats the only animal I have tried it on so far though and oh yes I can fly..." I heard a faint "Yes!" "Oh and also I can read peoples minds. But thats all I know of so far."
