Dimensional Collapse

Chapter 1

Brink City is not a normal city, tho the streets can be calm like most cities, but in some occasions it turns to the home of monsters, demons, crooks and  mad men. But like most heroic stories, whenever there's a villain there to bring the citizens to their knees, there is a hero there to help them rise from the ashes. But as time went on, Kame has learned that the longer she does this, the harder it will get, and the more bloodshed there will be.

/ South Brink City subway /

A large group of people are waiting for a train to come. A girl is in the group,waiting as well; She looks at her phone for any new messages from her lover. The time was 5:38 PM. A train then arrived after a while. As everyone walked inside the train, a figure in a grey jacket and a pair of black pants, carrying a small bag walked in with the crowd. Everyone sat down and train closed its doors, and began to head to the next stop.

The girl sat in the seat next to the door, she puts her backpack next to her, still checking her phone. She seemed worried about something,but none the less, she was exited to see her again. Everything went smooth for over a few minutes on the train, until the figure got up from his seat and pulled out a Pistol from the bag.

"Alright nobody move, I'm taking hostages!" the man exclaimed taking a poor sap who was sitting next to him as a shield. The wagon began to fill with screams as the man points the gun around at everyone, but the girl just stayed staring at her phone.  She looks at the man, shuts off her phone and puts it in her pocket. She starts reaching for something in her backpack, getting his attention.

"HEY, I said nobody moves," he exclaims, pointing the gun at her; still holding the hostage in his left hand. She leans closer inside the bag, getting the man nervous and letting go of the hostage, reaching for her.

All of the sudden the lights go out and the wagon fills with screams and gunshots. Seconds later the lights turn back on and the girl is standing in front of the crook with the gun in her hand. She was wearing a black Beanie, a light blue scarf, with a grey line crossing through the middle of it; She wore a black sweater with a dark blue jacket, ripped jeans and boots. She also had an eye patch covering her right eye. The girl stood quiet as the crook was dumbfounded on how she disarmed him. In hesitation, he pulled out a pocket knife and tried to slash the girl, but to no avail, she dodged every swing and then disarmed him, throwing the knife across the wagon and slamming his head against the door, giving him one final blow to the head, knocking him out. She took a deep breath and grabbed her bag waiting for the next stop.

/ Some time later /

Kame ran past a bunch of people in a hurry heading towards to the Brink Theatre. She checked her phone for the time, that said 5:49 PM, making her pick up the pace. A girl waited for her on a wall next to the ticket booth. She looked to be impatient, as if she's been standing there for a long time. Kame reached for her phone, still running and wrote in her messages:

"Hey, sorry that I'm running a little late, I took the train to get there, I'm almost there."

"Almost there... " she thought to herself. She was getting exhausted and slowly started to stop. "I-I'm almost t-there." she sighed, tired from all the running, but she didn't stop, not when she was 3 blocks away from the theatre. She started running again, despite being dehydrated and almost out of breath. She reached the theatre to see the girl standing there.

"Marven...!" Kame called out very exhausted, almost about to pass out.

"Hey, I thought you weren't gonna show up." Marven said cheerfully. She notices Kame extremely tired and helps her straighten up.

"Are you alright?" she asked

"Y-Yeah, I-I just ran...  From the subway to h-here..."

" Come on, I'll you buy some water. "

Kame smiled and wraps her arm around shoulder " T-thanks Marvie. " She sighs softly with a smile as they went to buy their tickets.  " Don't mention it babe." Marven added giving out a smirk.

They bought the tickets, and waited in line to buy the snack. Marven looked at Kame for a while, still a bit sweaty from all the running. " Babe, what was taking you so long to get here? She asked Kame a bit quiet. The teen look at other. " I... uhh... I was busy." Marven opens her backpack slightly to see some gear, a chest plate, shoulder pads, and a grey suit, along with weapons and gadgets. " I see. " Marven whispers to herself and closes the backpack. " I was trying to get here earlier I swear." Kame reassures with a dissapointed look. Marven gives her a soft kiss on her forehead and whispers in here ear, " It's alright, at least you're not late, just don't forget what your doing. " They stare at each other, Marven puts on arm on the others waist and the other one tomove a bit of Kame's hair to the side, as the other teen stares at her brown hair and dark green eyes.

" Excuse me, are you two in line?" The man behind the counter asks, bringing their attention back to the line. They walk towards the man and start ordering. "We'll have a Twin combo with two sodas and a bottle of water." Kame orders. "Would that be all?" asks the employee, to which she says yes.  They grabbed the popcorn and drinks and they start walking to the room their movie is playing in. They walk in and found seats somewhere in the middle of the room, next a couple. The film hadn't started yet so all they do was wait.

Marven leans her hand towards
Kame's hand and holds it lightly. The other teen notices it and smiles softly at her. "I've missed you." She whispered a bit loud so that she could hear her through all the conversations happening at once. "I know, but you know that I'm busy being in band, and I couldn't have time till today and tomorrow. But you'll always be in my mind." Their heads lean closer their lips connect. They kissed for a while until they pushed away because the movie was starting. Kame leaned her head on Marven's shoulder as the they wait for the movie to start.
