"Are you May?" she whispered.
May nodded, "Why? And where is my family?"
"They're gone. Moved to a new home. I bought this house from them because they couldn't stand it without their missing daughter, you," she said in awe. "You've been missing for twenty years, May. You should go to them. I'll take you."
Soundlessly, May followed her out the door and to the lady's yellow bug car before May even know what she was doing, following a stranger to her car.
May stopped and asked, "Why should I trust you? I've never even met you before."
"Do you want to see your family or not? I've got things to do you know," the woman sternly said. May nodded and continued following the woman to her car, not seeing why she shouldn't. Stranger things had happened than getting into a stranger's car.
