Goodbye.

The conversation was painfully dull, it was Leo's fault. He wasn't interested in anything the other had to say and he was practically half asleep at the bar in slightly damp and uncomfortable clothes. "Do you come here often?" "No." "Do you even drink?" "Not really." Sebastian's questions were patronising and growing more boring by the second. "Oh I get it, you're playing hard to get right?" Leo raised his head and looked at the other as if he had just stated that global warming was Chinese propaganda. "No, I'm tired- I don't want to be here." He muttered shaking his head, why did this guy have to be so utterly condescending. "Well why didn't you just say no instead of letting me buy you a...water. Alright I should've taken the fact you ordered water during freshers week in the main student bar as a hint that you'd rather not be here." The blonde boy sighed. "Do you want me to walk you home?" He offered.

Sebastian's head was spinning, he'd never been in this situation before everyone he'd ever spent time with had pulled and begged and thirsted for his attention like their lives depended on it, it was a competition of who could keep his attention the longest. It was disconcerting that this boy gave him only the bare minimum and sometimes even less in the conversation that they were having. Of course it was Sebastian's own fault, he'd been so confident of the fact that this other person would want to spend time with him that he hadn't even thought of the notion of someone not enjoying his company. Looking over at Leo through his eyes that were dull and glassy compared to the strobes in the dim light of the bar. He tilted his head, he could admit, Leo was handsome. No. It was something else, something so rare to him that it struck him hard and drew him in unlike anyone else he'd ever met. Leo was soft, there were no hard lines or harsh colours anywhere near him, an oasis of calm in the chaos of Sebastians peripheral. It had the man quiet for a long stretch after the question.

"No" came Leo's voice, quiet compared to Sebastian's broad tones and the condescending music. "You wouldn't want to leave your friends hanging would you?" Leo gestured over to the booth where Grey, Jackson, and Elliot were sat. They were lost in their own conversations, some lost in eachothers eyes. Drink glasses were empty and it looked like things were winding down for the night.

"They aren't my friends" laughed the blond and felt a pang of guilt for that, since Grey really was the closest thing to a friend he had. That gained as much of a glare that Leo could muster as the shorter one slid off his bar stool and began to walk off towards the doors. Sebastian, always the opportunist, followed, his long strides quickly catching up to Leo and pushing the doors open for him. "We live in the same building, and i'm heading back now anyway so....humor me, for tonight will you?" one of Seb's unnaturally darkened eyebrows raised in proposition and waited for Leo to stalk off again. He didn't though.

The blue eyes were like lasers that made Leo feel like everything he knew was being extracted from his soul. Walking him home wouldn't hurt.

"Alright, if you insist." They walked alongside eachother in an agreed pace, every so often their arms would brush and Leo's stomach would lurch violently, threatening to expel the days meals. He had to focus on his breathing pattern and clench his jaw to hide the fact that his teeth were chattering, both from the nerves of being alone with Sebastian and the fact that he was still saturated in drink and now being hit continuosly with the sharp night air. He sniffed suddenly and looked right, up to the block of student halls everyone in his small friend group lived in.  They grew closer and Leo's mind swirled with what the appropriate thing to do was, he knew that Sebastian lived a floor below him so they'd walk there first  and Sebastian would go to bed. Alone. Walking through the doors to reception that had been held open for him by lanky, pale arms and up stairs still in awkward silence until they got to the door that Leo had been standing infront of mere hours earlier, sniffing like an idiot. The memory made him cringe and so he willed to get out of there.

Leo started to pull away down the corridor and opened his mouth to say his goodbye but Sebastian rudely interrupted him.

"You're not coming in?" Sebastian called under his breath, face screwed up confused. Of course he was confused, no ones ever gone this far and left. All of his self awareness and awe of Leo disappeared and he was just a horny twenty year old again. Leo scoffed in response, hurt, again. He was too sensitive and obviously it shouldnt work him up this much but the fact is, is that it did. So without another word he disappeared to the end of the corridor and up the stairs to his own room, the dorm directly above Grey and Sebastian's.
