It was going to take an hour to get to the beach. The fact that I could smell and taste the salty air wafting from the ocean and into the car made me even more hyper.
When Ketch and I finally got there and he opened my door I bolted out of his care and ran straight towards the salty smelling waves I was smelling for the last 30 minutes. I ran faster and faster getting closer and closer to those ice blue waves until BAM, my feet hit the sand.It was a weird feeling. I did not like it, not one bit. The squishiness of it whenever I stepped. It flew everywhere to! It flew in my mouth, in my fur, and also on Ketch!
I stopped running and slowly walked to the waves while I tried to ignore all the sand.
"Oh you will be fine Melo! It is just sand." Said Ketch while he walked towards me. "You will get used to it and start to love it. How about we play our daily game of fetch?"
These "special Days" were Ketch and I spent time together on the beach, or many other places occurred frequently. Some times it was just a normal day that we did special things. Ketch and I did everything together. we could never be separated, only when he had to go to work. It was me and him, and we were perfectly fine with that. Then his mom came over to visit.
Right after Ketch got off the phone with his mother Hera, I could just see the annoyance written all over his face. He stood there for a few minutes looking around our home with disappointment.
"Well Melo." Ketch said after finally speaking up. "My mom is visiting for the week. That means we have to clean."
I absolutely hated cleaning. It was boring and at times, it was even scary. All Ketch did for that day was clean, clean, clean, nothing but clean. After our home smelled like a mix of lavender, bleach, and lemons that was when it got scary. Ketch brought out this big long machine that is very loud. The monster swiped this one way then Ketch pulled it back. The monster swiped the other way and again ketch pulled it back. It seemed at the time that while he was cleaning our home he found a big monster and was fighting it around the house. I did not know how long this monster was in our home and i would have not minded but it was attacking my best friend. Ketch was having a difficult time with it, he only had one hand on it. I knew i had to do something fast so i ran to it and barked and growled at trying to seem like I was not scared, and it worked the monster got to scared and died.
"What you doing Melo?" ketch said chuckling right after I killed the monster. "It is just a vacuum cleaner, very harmless."
I cocked my head looking between Ketch and The monster called vacuum cleaner.
Laughing Ketch then spoke "Since you really do not like the vacuum cleaner I will put it up. I guess mom just has to deal with half cleaned carpets."
A few minutes later the doorbell rang. I would have barked but something was off. I could hear a faint noise on the other side.
"Your better be nice when I open this door Melo." Ketch said sternly then opened the door.
"Is that a dog?!" Commented my the older aged woman while holding a small animal.. "Why would you ever have gotten a dog?! why not a cute little cat?!" She says holding up the small animal. "cats are just way better than dogs you know!"
