"Yes mom, I bought a dog and his name is Melo." Ketch said annoyed. "I see you have your cat."
Hera walked in glaring at me and took in our home.
"Yes" she said. "His name is Leo. Very smart and talented"
I had never seen a cat until Ketch's mom came over. I desperately wanted to say hi to him and try to be friends but Hera would not let me closer than 3 feet near him. Whenever I accidentally did get to close and would gasp dramatically and grab Leo.
Hera would then yelled at Ketch says things like "That dog of yours could have hurt him" or would just start yelling at me.
It made sad that she thought I would hurt Leo. So to make both Ketch and Hera happy, I just stayed in a different room than them, chewing on my ball, while I waited till nightfall.
That was about the time Hesta and Ketch both went to bed. On normal days when it would just be Ketch and I, I would sleep with him. Today I decided to sleep in the living room on the couch and was glad I did.
I was laying on the couch for about an hour when I heard the guest bedroom door slowly opened to a small crack.
Curious, I lifted my head from my paws and watched intently down the hallway.
"Sorry it took me so long to come out." Said Leo. "As you can tell my owner is very overprotective."
I looked at the cat amazed. I did not know what to say at that time. All I did was watch as Leo climbed up on top of the coffee table and lied facing me.
"Your very talkative." Leo said with boredom. "If you are scared that we are going to get caught, I can assure you that Hesta will is fast asleep, and will not be waking up anytime soon."
"The name is Melo." I said while I concentrated on not wagging my tail. "I have been wanting to meet you ever since you got here. I had never seen a cat before."
"And I have never gotten to talk to a dog before." Said  Leo."I'm very happy Ketch did not think to Hera about you."
"Why is it that Hera does not like me at all? I asked. "She thinks I will hurt you.
"Oh don't be upset Melo." Leo said concerned. "I have known Hera all my life and all that time she despised dogs. Meaning how she is acting toward you is it is not your fault."
"Oh well that makes me a little bit happier. Thank you Leo for telling me that." I said happily.
