"Are you okay?"
What,
If I may ask
Is okay?

Is it happiness and contentment with that of your life?
Or simply the dry satisfaction of being alive?

Can I say I am okay if only last night
I felt ready to die?

Can I say I am okay if I feel hollow and incomplete?
Lost and wandering?
Wondering?

Tell me cruel world
Cruel, unforgiving, unrelenting, and unforgivable world
Am I okay?
Am I really, truly, "okay"?
Or is that just what you need me to be?

I'm sorry world
You ask to much of me
