Chapter 4: ~unedited~

~Gwen's POV~

"Spiderman, Spiderman. Do you know Spiderman. Swings a web, any size. Catching thieves, just like flies, look out! Here comes that Spiderman!" I found myself singing. Or yelling.

Or whatever that obnoxious sound is that comes out of me when I'm trying to sing.

I was about to continue with the next verse when I heard a voice coming from the window.

"Nice singing." Said the voice. The voice being Spiderman, if you haven't already guessed.

"Ugh. Finally you're here." I said. "I have been waiting for-ev-er." I said, stretching out the word for dramatic affect.

"Well I'm sorry to keep you waiting. It's not like New York needs my help and all..." He responded sarcastically.

"Exactly. So why didn't you come sooner?" I asked innocently.

He rolled his eyes. Or maybe I just imagined him doing that because he had a mask on over his eyes, and I couldn't see them.

That darn mask.

"Uhm. Why don't you take the mask off?" I asked.

"I've only met you twice, and you think I should reveal to you the biggest secret of my life?" He asked.

"Well, if that's how you're going to put it, than yeah." I said with an innocent smile.

He shook his head.

"At least give me a hint." I said.

He shook his head again.

"You're no fun." I said, crossing my arms.

"Okay, I guess I'll just leave then.." He said, walking towards the window.

"No!" I said, standing up from my bed, grabbing his arm and pulling him back away from the window.

I shut it, locked it, and sat in the way of it. He wasn't getting out now.

"You haven't even told me anything for my story." I complained.

"Oh yeah..." He said. "The story."

"Well, did you steal the money from the bank yesterday?" I asked.

"What! No!" He said. "Is that really what people are saying? I saved that bank from a robbery."

"Oh." I said. "Well, okay then."

He crossed his arms.

"Well. Can I ask you any other questions?" I asked.

"Later." He responded. "How do I even know you're telling the truth about this."

I shrugged. "I don't know. I just am."

"Because that's such great proof."

He said sarcastically.

I nodded. "You can tell me anything."

He looked at me.

"But not if you don't want the whole city to know. I need this story..." I paused.

"Unless you tell me to keep it a secret." I added. "I always keep my secrets."

"Well okay then." He said.

I hate how that stupid mask muffles his voice. And hides his face. Again, darn that stupid mask.

"Can I look at your costume?" I asked.

He shrugged his shoulders and nodded.

"How'd you get it?" I asked, as I was walking over to him to examine he material.

"Made it myself." He responded.

"Wow." I said, running my fingers over the material.

I pretended to admire it, and then thought of a plan. That mask had to go.

As quickly as I could, I slid my fingers under the mask and tried to pull it off.

Before I could even think, I was on a chair in the corner of the room with my hands covered in webs.

"So you're a sneaky one." He said with an amused laugh.

Or I think it was an amused laugh...

I couldn't tell with that stupid mask he has on.

Curse that mask.

"Well, I just thought it would be more comfortable for you" I insisted sheepishly.

"It's hard to be comfortable at all in spandex." He said in a 'duh' tone of voice. "I don't think it would help much."

"Well, then take the whole costume off." I insisted. When I realized what I said, I turned beet red.

"I mean, if you're wearing regular clothes underneath it... You do wear regular clothes underneath it, right?" I asked.

He simply shook his head.

TMI, Spiderman. TMI.

I quickly shook that thought from my head.

I seriously wish I could see his face right now. It is so hard to read the expression of someone with a mask on.

That mask will have to go.

And it will go soon.

"I don't think I'm going to take of the mask. Good try though." He said.

"Thank you." I said seriously.

He laughed.

What was so funny?

"What?" I asked. He didn't respond.

Boys.

I shook all the webs he had shot me to the chair with off of my hands.

"What did I say about webs in my room?" I scolded.

"To not to shoot them..." Spiderman replied.

"That's right." I said, shoving the webs back into his hands.

He dejectedly picked them up and threw them out the window.

"Sorry." He muttered.

"You should be." I said.

"Now as punishment, you must take off your mask." I insisted.

He started laughing again.

"I'm serious." I stated.

He laughed harder.

"I'm sorry to burst you're bubble, but no can do." He said

I frowned.

"Well, see ya later, maybe." He said, and swung out the window randomly again.

"YOU'D BETTER COME BACK!" I yelled out the window. I paused, and leaned my head out the windows again.

"I know you heard me!" I yelled again.

I heard him laugh, but I couldn't see him.

I knew he had heard me.

Author's Note:

So sorry it's not that good. Aha. I just figured out that my dad is buying me a yearling horse to train myself and I'm super excited getting everything set up and finding the right horse...

Sorry it's short again... Maybe I'll just update short, frequent chapters. :)

Thanks for all the support!
