My cheek was burning.
"Swine!" Maddy screamed.
"Do you also want to get something from me? Huh? The same way you two got it from Miss Gert-whatever."
How did he know that? Total stalker...
He left the room again.
My stomach was so uneasy. I had to get out of here. I tried to bite the rope that I was tied in, but it didn't work. The ugly gray walls in the small room started to close in, making me even more afraid. The old bed we were laying on, and a little night table to my left, were the only things in the room except us. Then I thought of something...maybe I could cut the rope on my hand with the edge of the table? I moved toward the edge of the bed and stretched out my arms, moving them back and forth. It was working! I started getting really tired. I kept on going. At some point, I fell off the bed. My head hit the floor hard, and the whole room was spinning. Once my head stopped throbbing a bit, I saw something. There was a knife, a gun, a rope, and...a little stuffed swine toy.
