Chapter One

Karin's Perspective

"Make sure you look over your notes for tomorrow's test you guys", Mr. Smith said as we left out of his classroom.

"I'm so glad this is my last year of college!"

"I know right!" said the person sitting beside me.

I couldn't wait to get done with college so I can start my businesses and explore the world. I grabbed my things and headed towards my car.

"Zzzz, zzzz" my phone was ringing as I was approaching my car. I stopped and answered it.

K: "Hello"

M: "Hey Bestfriend!!!"

K:  "Hey whore, why you didn't text me back last night?"

M: "Well, see what happened was that I got caught up last night with my man again"

K: "REALLY MAILKA!!! You got back with Derek?!

Derek is her long time boyfriend of 8 years. He's a deadbeat father, doesn't try to make any money, and doesn't even respect their relationship. She will not listen to me, I've told her many of times to leave him. And she always come to me crying about him.

M: "Girl I couldn't help it he really knows how to work that bed!"

K: "Mmhmm you say that every time, but what did you call me for anyway?

M: "Oh yeah I was wanting see if you would like to go out with me tomorrow and catch up?

K: "Sure girl what time?

M: "Meet me at Lolo's Seafood Shack about 9.

K:  "Ok girl see you there."

M: "Ok,bye"

I checked my phone to see how much time I have left so I can go home and study and do whatever else o had to do. As I pulled off from school I became stuck in New York traffic, so I turned up the radio.

"It's time to grow uppp, I embarrassed my self enough." Keyshia Cole new song Incapable was on the radio. I almost forgot about to get me a bottle of wine and a couple of other things. It's a store by my apartment complex I'll just stop there. Finally, the traffic loosened up. I was about 10 minutes away from the store.

Ten minutes later...

Ten minutes later I pulled up to the store. I got out the car and went inside to get the items I needed. I needed wine, milk, and something to cook but I don't know what that is going to be yet. But I started to hear all this commotion going on, so I got all the things I needed and I headed to check out. And it was a tall, skinny, caramel, and sexy man with tattoos and people was surrounding him. He must be a celebrity, he doesn't know me anyway and probably wouldn't like me, so back to reality. I was putting my things up on the counter, and as I looked up I looked over there at the man again. And he turned and looked at me, and we made eye contact. Quickly, I turned my head to the cashier as she was finishing up.

"Your total is $21.14" I reached down in my purse to get my wallet and handed her the money.

"Your change is $8.86 thanks have a great day and come again!"

I grabbed my bags and walked out the door  headed to my car I heard someone say

"Aye ma lemme help you with them bags?"

I turned around quickly and looked and there he was smiling down at me.

"Ma?"

"Oh I'm sorry.." I said nervously "

"You Good babeh, lemme get them bags for you."

"Oh ok sure!" He put the bags in my car.

"Umm excuse me, I didn't get your name."

He put the rest of bags in my car and looked at me and said

"Woww so you don't know ya boy, huh?"

"No, I don't."

"I'm August Alsina babeh, the one and only."

I thought to myself he's so corny and giggled in my head. "Ohhhh you're the guy that sings "I love this shit" am I correct."

" Yep that's me babeh, and your name is...."

"Karin..." I said

"Well Ms. Karin I was wondering can I get your number and maybe we can talk sometimes? You are so fine and beautiful I just can't let you get away from me."

I blushed and turned me head.

"Yeen gotta hide those cheeks and that smile from me."

I looked at him. " Well don't think you just finna hit because I'm looking for something real and beyond."

" Nahhh babeh I'm tryna make you mine and only mines."

"Ok Mr.Alsina" I said as I smiled, and I gave him my number.

"I'll text you later,Karin."

As he walked away I looked at him and smiled. I can't believe I fell for that!! I started thinking to myself is he my nEXt or my infinity?
