Karin's Perspective

"I be gettin' to da money, errbody mad...thinking of getting too much money errbody mad."

I was blowing Everybody mad by O.T. Genesis through my speakers while I was cleaning up my apartment. I was cleaning my apartment because Malika said she'll just come by tonight because she has to work tomorrow night. I already knew why she wanted to meet up, she has some tea spill and i sip my tea as she spills it.

My phone started ringing. I looked at my phone it was my Aunt Regina.

K: "Hello"

R: "Hey baby! How have you been?"

K: " Hey Aunt Regina, I've been great trying to finish school. What about yourself?"

R: "I'm ok baby. But how is school going."

K: "School is great, I will be graduating this upcoming spring. How is my little brother doing and how is he in school?"

R: " He is doing good baby, but I have something to talk to you about concerning him."

K: "What is it? Is he ok?"

R: " Karin I can no longer take care of Anthony.......I'm getting old and I have no money also I don't wanna put him in foster care, so I was wondering if he can come stay with you?"

K: "I- I understand Aunt Regina, you should come too?

R: "No, no baby I'm fine I want to grow older here in Harlem."

She didn't stay far from me, we both stayed in Harlem.

K: "Ok Aunt Regina just know that I'm one phone call away and you are always welcome. But I will be there this Saturday to pick him up so I can get home settled in. And I wanna say thank you for everything you've done for me and Anthony since mom left us.

R: "You are welcome baby. I'm always going to be here for you guys."

K: "Are you sure you don't wanna move in with me too?"

R: " Yes baby, I'm fine now get some rest I'll talk to you later."

K: " Ok Aunt Regina, I'll talk to you later, love you."

R: "Love you too baby."

Aunt Regina has been there for me and my brother, Anthony, since our mother left us and became addicted to drugs, we have no idea where she is and I never knew my father. She raised me to become to young lady that I am today and I thank her for that. I have trust issues because of that. It takes me a long time to put my trust in people because parents was never really here to provide that to me. I jumped out of my thoughts and heard a knocks in the door.

"Knock, knock," said Mailka

"Coming" I answer back. I approached the door and opened it.

" Heyyyy my sexy baby mama!" She said

"Heyyy girl." I chuckled and hugged her.

"It smells good in here girl."  Mailka said sniffing the air.

"Thanks girl, I was doing a little cleaning before you came."

"Butttt girlllllll I have some tea to spill my cup is running over."

I laughed. " Spill itttt."

"So tell me why, I over heard this muscle head ass hoe, Audrey still fucking my man."

"BITCH, hell no we gotta go find her and beat her fucking ass, we gotta teach her a fucking lesson about fucking other women men. And I told you to leave Derek but you still with him."
