"Melody...Melody..." Hanzo whispers harshly in an attempt to wake her up. Groaning, she wakes up to see two brown eyes gazing down at her. A soft smile planted on his face.
"Hanzo? ...You kept your promise..."
"I did." he chuckles. "Stay awake dear. We will be gone from this place soon enough."
"But I'm so tired..." Melody says as her begin to droop.
"I know you are but please, for the sake of my breaking heart, please stay awake." Melody smiled and tries to keep her eyes open. "There we go."
She smiles sweetly at him, feeling warm. Her body, however, is tired and sore. The electroshock zapped every single nerve in her body. Three times a day since she's been here. How long has that been? No matter, Hanzo is here. He'll protect her.
She watches as he press his fingers against his ear and spoke quietly.
"I've got her with me. I will wait until further notice. Security is on high alert."
"They know I'm not there?" Melody asks. Hanzo nods. Then her heart started beating erratically, and she shakes from fear.
"It's all right Melody. I will not let them harm you. That is my promise to you and so I shall keep it for as long as I live."
The sirens blare as thundering footsteps run down the hall every few minutes. Men yelling to one another as they run. Yet there is one voice that stands out. His voice is soft and calm, yet demanding.
"She's here. Believe me, she wouldn't make it too far. Besides with the weather outside, she'd freeze before ever finding help." He then laughs maniacally.
'You must get out if here. Please. Tell Hanzo that there's an escape tunnel straight below this floor.'
'We will get going as soon as we can. Hanzo knows what he's doing and I trust his instinct.'
'His friends will not be here in time. Please leave now. Before something regrettable happens.'
"Hanzo, we need to go. Bygone isn't settling well right now." She tells him. He agrees by nodding his head. "There's a tunnel beneath us, he says."
Hanzo set her aside and removed the panel. There is indeed a tunnel under them. The blackness goes on and on from what he can tell. Just jumping it it might be a bad idea. There is the possibility there might be something deadly down below, at the end.
The acher turns back to her. She'll have to straddle him in order for the two to fit.
"Can you move?"
"A little bit."
"Drag yourself over to me." Melody did just that. Swinging her legs over first, she slipped into his lap.
The position may not be the most presentable of ones but at least the can fit and travel. Hanzo just has to keep his mind from wondering...
As far as not slipping goes, the travel safely downward. Occasionally they passed a floor where guards are running back and forth. And yet, that voice appeared on every floor, just as the continued to the next floor. This does not boad well, Hanzo thinks himself. They just might run into him here shortly.
'Wait...does he have a tracker on her?'
Hanzo pauses.
"Did he come near you?" He asks calmly.
"Once..."
He quickly pats her down until he felt a tiny cold object brushing past his fingers. On her pocket it a small enough tracker that she didn't notice. But how did he get it on her?
