1 - It's You... A Chester Fanfic (Linkin Park)

It's a cold day in October and all you want to do is cry. It is the day before Halloween and you don't have any plans this year. You feel alone, your parents have been arguing and your day at college was so rough you don't want to go back tomorrow.

"SHUT UP! I'M SO SICK OF HEARING YOUR VOICE, YOU'RE LIKE A CHILD!!" you hear this among other insults that your parents are spitting at each other. You are sitting on the floor clear in the back of the house writing in your notebook, trying to study over top of the chaos. It's. So. Difficult.

"I'm leaving!! That's it, I'm done." You hear. Yeah, that's typically how it ends. Someone leaves and goes to chill out someplace by themselves. You have heard them argue so much you can't even tell the voices apart anymore. Until one of them walks in. It's your dad.

"Hey, I'm going to leave too okay? I can't believe her!! If you need anything call, I'm taking my cell phone... Hey I might be gone for a while this evening, I'm going to visit my friend. I just can't stand being around her all the time... I think she's staying at her friends tonight. Are you going to be okay with that? I mean I guess you don't really have a choice... I'm sorry. I'll call you when I'm heading home okay?" He hugs me. You just nod, still fighting tears. At least if he leaves you will be able to cry on your own...

You turn on the home stereo because if you're home alone you might as well enjoy some music! Faint is on, you turn it up and start dancing around the house. When it goes off a TOADM song comes on and you groan and walk to your room. Nothing can top LP!

You open your door and that's when you see him first. It's... It's Chester.

"Uh..." You start to say. What is he doing in your room? How did he get in? Do your parents know? Does anyone know? Isn't he supposed to be on tour? HUH??

"Y/N you don't have to look so disappointed to see me!!" He pouts. It's totally cute. You blush.

"I'm... I'm... how did you..." You are stuttering. Maybe not talking at all would be better than trying to talk right now.

"Your best friend told me you're a 'HUGE FAN'" he says with emphasis.

"Uh... Yeah. I mean, I am." You say. Why can't you talk normally? Why aren't you asking him anything?

"Awwww are you shyyyy?" He asks sweetly as he approaches you. You suddenly get nervous that someone is going to come home early and see the two of you in your room and shut the door. Then the thought of being alone in a room with him makes you blush even more.

"You are!! That's fkking adorable." He says, touching your arm softly.

"I make you shy." He's beaming at you. You just casually

Fall over.

Onto the floor.

What is wrong with you?

You're grinning like crazy and he sits down beside you.

"Are you okay though? Seriously, I heard your parents arguing, is that normal for you?" he asks. You nod. He puts his arms around you in a hug.

"That's what your friend told me." He says. Oh, right, my friend told Chester about me... Thinking through your friends you can only think of one who would go through the trouble to do this. Daniel. You're going to hurt him...

But Chester is still hugging you. You're so close to him it makes you blush. Isn't Chester single now?

He pulls you even closer and your head is resting on his shoulder.

"I want to tell you that things are going to be ok, alright? Everything is going to be fine. The place you're at right now is only temporary, you were meant for greater things." He tells you as you lean into him.

"I love you..." you tell him shyly. Oh no. Did you just say that out loud?

Chester responds by letting go of you. Oh no!! You screwed everything up, now he's freaked out... but it was the truth. So you calm down a little. Everyone needs to hear I love you sometimes...

He leans in and kisses your cheek in response. You freak out. There's no way this is happening. You're feeling confident, so you lean in and kiss him back on the cheek. This game continues until one time when you're leaning in to kiss his cheek and he pulls you close to him and stares into your eyes. You get shy and try to look away, but he says your name and you look back. Just as you see his grin he puts his arms around your back and pulls you in for a passionate kiss right there in your bedroom! You're not even used to having boys over, let alone Chester, let alone kissing in your room... You try to hide your excitement because you are enjoying this moment.

You put your arms around him and he moves his hands down to your waist.

Somehow you end up sitting in his lap and he is running his fingers through your hair. You keep your arms around him in a very, very close hug.

When you stop so that you can breathe you both appear flustered about what had just happened. You get shy and move away from him.

"Y/N I really like you..." He says while staring at you. Your heart beats uncontrollably fast.

"I really like you too..." You manage to say. He's staring at you and your face feels like it's on fire now. It's almost embarrassing. Almost. 

"Am I your favorite?" he asks playfully. You never knew he could be so flirtatious. Especially to you. But this is happening. You look confused because and he goes "member, of your favorite band." He tilts his head to the side waiting for a response.

"Yes, of course you are Chester." You tell him while looking into his eyes. He is obviously excited now. He pulls you into a tight hug and starts playing with your hair again.

"So... what if your favorite singer asked you on a date?" He asks you. You think he's joking at first but he is looking at you with the most serious look on his face...
