14 - Jordan's Memory Meets Linkin Park!

"Last song of the evening!" Kevin shouts into the microphone, looking out as his audience cheers. Wow. To think his band Jordan's Memory has made it this far. He has loyal fans always looking up to him and he is able to get his messages out to the audience and inspire many more.

"We wanted to dedicate this song to our favorite band actually. Most of you will know this song if you are Linkin Park fans like us." A familiar tune fills the room. At first it is just Josh on guitar, a melodic approach that get the audience cheering for more.

"I dreamed I was missing..." Kevin begins to sing. "You were so scared..." Paul joins in on drums and Andre on the bass. The feeling in the air is electric. Their music makes the people in the room feel like they are having the time of their lives.

"So if you're asking me I want you to know..." Kevin sings as the audience literally starts screaming and awing. Kevin doesn't understand why they chose now to start screaming, but he only sings louder. And he is joined. The music is much louder now. Someone else is singing with him. He glances over in time to watch Chester dance around as he's singing with the spare microphone. Wait. How did he get here? The rest of the band is all smiles and grins. Kevin continues to sing along with Chester just as Mike walks up to join in with Kevin on the "Forgetting, all the hurt inside you've learned to hide so well" part of the song. The entire audience has their lighters lit and cell phone lights on. It. Is. Amazing.

By the time the show is over the entire band Linkin Park has walked out onto the stage and Kevin and the band bows along with them. He is overjoyed. Josh yells a thank-you to the crowd and they get encore shouts. Jordan's Memory glances at each other, Linkin Park included, and everyone is shrugging.

"I guess we'll end on a high note... Here's a song from their Hybrid Theory days, A Place for my Head!" Andre yells, then backs away as if embarrassed to hear her own voice.

The song is complete chaos and completely energetic. It might be a little awkward for Rob to use Paul's drums but he does it half-way through the song because Paul offered. He rocks them regardless. Joe has his equipment as he usually does and joins in the song with his beats. Someone has given Mike a microphone so Chester, Mike and Kevin are all vocalists. It works out quite amazingly. As for guitarists there are two of them and two bassists as well. Dave and Andre are on bass, Brad and Josh on guitar. Brad took the rhythm guitar as Josh did riffs. This just added to the magical chaos.

The crowd, of course, is going crazy. The stage is VERY full and it probably looks quite amazing for anyone watching.

After the show Josh thanks the audience, again, and everyone files backstage. That evening they chill out with Linkin Park, get their autographs and even a thank you for playing their music and helping them to gain more fans from a totally new audience. Jordan's Memory is hyped when they invite them to record a song together for Jordan's Memory's new upcoming album and they accept. This is a night they will never forget and a friendship that will never die.
