A Sonnet For The Lonely

A nap seems needed when you're lost.
A drink seems even better still.
Outside the window grows the frost;
Inside your heart there grows a chill.

You drink it down and see the past,
The specters haunting you tonight.
You go to bed, fall on your ass,
And giggle till it scares the wights.

When life is fright'ning, fright it back.
Laugh, to scare the ghosts away.
They'll go to hide within the cracks,
And bother you another day.

A flower sits before the pane.
Water it, and grow again.
