The morning light shining through the curtains of the bedroom was what woke Kian up and images of the night he'd spent with Mila began flashing through his mind almost immediately. He was smiling before he even opened his eyes and his arm reached out to touch the spot that he thought Mila would be but found it cold and empty. His eyes opened and he sat up to look around the room but once again found her nowhere. He figured that she'd just woken up earlier than usual so he slid out of the bed and began to look through the drawers to find some clothes to wear for the day but the only clothes of his left in the drawers were a single outfit. As he got dressed he grew curious as to where his clothes were but he decided that he'd just go find Mila and asked her. He trailed out of the home he shared with Mila and out into the main living area of the compound that pretty much combined all of the homes together.

The last thing he had been expecting to see when he entered the living area was the entire family huddled up together on the couch but what he noticed most were the tears on Franny's face and the solemn look on Bobby's face. He heard footsteps coming from behind him and glanced backwards to see Jc coming into the room as well. He walked forward slowly until he was able to see Mila among the group of people,"Mi, what's going on? Why does everyone look like their favorite pet just died?" It wasn't Mila who answered him though, it was Brian,"We're sending you home, kid." His eyebrows furrowed instantly and he turned to look at Mila's father,"Wait, what? Home?" For just a split second he thought they were joking but he could tell from the way that Mila refused to look at him and the way that Bobby and Franny were holding onto Jack and Elena that this was real,"What the hell do you mean you're sending us home? Is this some sick joke? Our 'home' was blown to pieces and I'm pretty sure that everyone we know thinks we're dead by now." Dom stood up at this point, his arms crossed over his chest,"Which is why Mr. Nobody has given you a cover story to tell everyone when you go back. You were attacked while you were at home filming a video with Nina and Noelle who were kidnapped too but you watched them die. You were all kidnapped by the mexican cartel because of..."

He zoned out after that, his eyes staring straight at Mila with nothing but anger in his eyes,"So that's it? After everything we've been through, you just want us to go home?" He looked up from Mila to glance around the room,"How the hell do you expect us to go back to normal after all of this? Do you want me to just pretend that none of this ever happened because I can't." His attention was focused back on Mila now,"Look at me, Milena." He stared her down until she looked up and he took a step forward,"I can't pretend that none of this ever happened and I can't pretend that I never fell in love with you. After everything I can't just leave this behind." He swallowed the lump in his throat,"Is that why you fucked me last night? Because you wanted to make me feel a little better about this? Because it's not working." He didn't care that he was being an asshole, he didn't care about anything except the fact that he felt betrayed and fooled,"Did none of this mean anything to you at all, Mila?" He turned to look at Dom and Brian,"I'm assuming we have no say in what we want to do, right? It's up to all of you to decide what we do and where we go with the rest of our lives?"

Mila had never come back to bed the night before. The next morning Mila stood with the family at breakfast as Jack and Elena had to tell Bobby and Franny the horrible news. Franny had instantly started crying and Bobby had just fallen quiet. Mila had pulled Elena into her arms and then handed her off to Mia when she saw Kian and Jc come in. She held her breath when Brian began to speak. Mila couldn't look at Kian's reaction because she had to hold back tears or else she'd cave and beg Brian and Dom not to let this happen and she knew it was the only way that Kian would be safe.
When she finally looked up at Kian her heart shattered. "I'm sorry Kian. But you have to move on. This isn't your home. Los Angeles is your home. California is where your friends and family are. You have to go Kian. It isn't safe for you here," she wanted to say more but she had to look away from him to finish, "This was all a mistake. I'm sorry I let it go so far. You don't belong with us. You need to go back to your normal life. The people who really love you are back there. Not here." She couldn't look back at him so she stepped behind Eric and Luke and covered her mouth holding back her sobs so that Kian would just leave and she could finally cry.
The second the door slammed shut behind him the sob broke loose from her body. She had been shot, stabbed, and flipped in a car, but nothing quite hurt as bad as telling Kian that she never really loved him. She pushed Brian and Mia away as they tried to comfort her and ran to the roof of the building to watch as the car that would take them to the airport drove out of the compound and across the island. She fell to her knees as soon as the car was out of sight. She felt as if the universe was mocking her pain as the sun glistened on the water and she heard the children's laughter from the houses around the compound. Mila had lost lovers before. She'd left men and they had left her but nothing had ever shattered her quite like this.
She heard her siblings come up onto the roof near her and ignored them. They had all had their goodbyes, except maybe Spencer. She could hardly breathe as she sat crying. She didn't know how long it had been that she stared at the road waiting to see Kian coming back down it suitcase in tow stubborn as she knew he could be. But the sun was starting to go down and she knew he'd be halfway back to California by now. She wrapped her arms around herself and shook her head, "I should have told him I loved him before he left."
