Oscar's P.O.V
The day was going quite well I think. We were in lunch and the bell was about to go. I packed my bag and stood up, and joined the others at the door. Just after I joined them, the bell went, and I followed Jack over to the Wood and Metal rooms. They were in the same building as my Digital Designs class, just the lower level.
When I walked in, immediately I could smell the sweat of the 20 odd boys in the room, it was a nice smell to me. I like the smell of hot, sweaty boys. But there was one in particular.
I walked over to the bench where Jack was, and sat down opposite to him. He shook his head and pointed to the seat behind him, so I stood up and walked over to the chair he pointed out, just as someone else sat down opposite Jack.
The boy looked familiar, but I couldn't figure out why. Then I realised, he was one of the dickheads from role call, and from interval. I couldn't figure out why Jack sat opposite him, then I realised that the teacher must have a seating plan. I hope I wasn't now in someone else's way.
The teacher walked in and looked at me, then grunted and walked up to the front of the class. He greeted the class and then started explaining what we were going to be doing this term. Thankfully, he was starting a new unit.
I had some experience of this sort of thing, working with dad at home, but never on my own.
I looked around the room and saw quite a few tools I didn't now. Hopefully we wouldn't have to use any of them.
I wrote down what the teacher was doing, and noticed Jack doing the same, but not many others. I guess they'll get lost.
I didn't understand some of the terms the teacher was using, so I circled them, for later to ask Jack. I hope I wasn't annoying him too much, with my constant not knowing what to do. About halfway through the work, I hope, a notice came. The teacher looked at the notice for a bit, and then called Jack to the front.
After talking about things for a few minutes, Jack came back and grabbed his bag. 'If I'm not back before the end of the period, I'll wait outside for you, Ok?'
'Ok.' As I said this, he was walking off. I wonder where he had to go.
I got back to my work.
When Jack gets back I'll have to try and remember where he went, although he'll probably tell me anyway. After the teacher finished writing on the board, I copied down the last of the stuff I didn't already have and then put my pen down and waited. The rest of the class were being arrogant dicks and not doing their work. The teacher noticed that I was done, and came over and talked to me about what we were doing, and if I knew what to do with the tools, and I said that I didn't know how all of them worked, but that I knew how a few of them worked. He just said that I can get my bench partner, or someone else to show me how the tool works.
Soon after our conversation the bell went and everybody packed up.
I walked outside and saw Jack leaning against the wall.
Hey Guys!
Thanks for all the support with my new book. I'm so happy to see how many reads it has gotten already.
