12. Sweet Memory x Nick Mara

It's been a year for sure , but it felt like two whole years since that tragic moment , the moment my life shattered .

But here I am today in my ex- lovers fiance's room as she prepares to marry someone whom I thought would've asked me a year ago , I'm even a bridesmaids ...how messy can things even get today .

she asked me last minute because someone she asked before me bailed on her so me and her being somewhat " cool" she just asked and your heart split into pieces when she even asked you .

You couldn't even be mad at them , this was all because of your actions and you needed to face the horrid reality of it .

Nick looked happy again just like he was once with you . you couldn't change that or take that away from him no matter how much you've missed him .

you stood behind Hellene ( the bride to be ) zipping up her white gown has she was rambling about how precious nick was and everything else but you were in a daze thinking of the past when you would talk about him to your friends or when you'd hear the guys talk about how nick talked about you non stop which made you smile inside .

" finished ! you look beautiful Hellene ." you spoke before dusting off your bridesmaids gown .

" thanks you angel , so do you ! I'm sorry I put you in a awkward situation because ...y-."

" don't even worry about it but thanks , I should head out into the chapel and check in on everyone. " you nodded before rushing out of that room that only made you hate life itself .

You wanted to scream but sweetie you couldn't and wouldn't .

you walked towards the hallway looking around before seeing Zion talking to Edwin while the others were in the room talking to nick whom was probably having a happy time .

you ran over towards them in your gown out of breath, wiping the little tears you cried so they wouldn't notice .

" hey ...how's everything going down here ? ."

" do you realize we saw you run out of that room crying right ? ." Edwin asked and you sighed .

" but besides the point , he's most likely in there freaking out and we ain't got time for them moods , he ain't pregnant , we love him but Brandon and Austin can deal with it ." Zion said leaning against the wall in his all black suit .

You frowned because after everything you and Brandon lost touch , friendship was no longer in the vocabulary for the two of you anymore no matter how much it sucked . it was the for best .

But you stayed in contact with everyone else because regardless they loved you like a sister , you and nick rarely talk anymore .

You're basically a ghost to him at this point and that's fine .

" well Hellene is almost ready and she looks like an angel. " he said almost gagging at your own words .

Zion and Edwin nodded. " you look bomb yourself kid ." Zion patted your shoulder earning a nod in agreement from ed whom you hugged along with Zion .

" thank you ..for still being there for me after everything. "

" you're like family regardless ."

" alright , I don't know if I can do this ." You heard someone shout knowing who it was once Brandon walked out . " you guys Nick's fre- YN ?." He looked at you lost for words but staring at you and not with hate but in aw or has if he missed you .

" yup, that's me right? ." you spoke smiling nervously at him before he nodded quickly .

" you look amazing .."

" thanks B ."

" this might sound crazy as hell ...but YN go calm him down , I'd ask his fiancé but she's you know. "

Your eyes widened . you can't go in there and face him not after everything you've done , you kind of wanted to but you knew it wasn't an good idea .

Before you could speak somehow you ended up in there frozen and he was staring in the mirror mumbling things .

He looked so good , you smiled to yourself .

" Hellene ? ." he asked before turning around to see you in the far corner and his whole face changed .

" h-hi , um ..nick ?? long time no see? t-the guys wanted me to talk to you ."

" they could've got someone I would actually wanna see ." he said coldly and it hurted .

" I deserve that , but I'm not here to get bashed on you ass ! I'm here to tell you to breath and be happy like you were with her before this day ! Don't bail out now you love her right ? ." you hoped he wouldn't say yes but he did .

" yeah , I do ...I'm just not sure about this like I really was when I got down on one knee ."

He sighed going to sit down on a chair putting his face in his hands .

You decided to squat in front of him in your gown tapping his shoulder causing him to look directly In your eyes and dude once he did he felt light headed , he felt a lot of things he didn't feel with Hellene .

Deep down you never hated you , he just felt stupid , like he was actually happy for the first time because of you. You had this boy whipped and you rarely cared because the two of you were too happy with each other .

Nick just stared at you making your stomach do flips but you cleared your throat .

" you look...beautiful YN and I'm being blunt ." he spoke.

" thanks , you don't look too bad kid ." you smiled .

" but don't let cold feet destroy your love life go out there and marry that woman ! forget me , go be happy forever this time... What we were was two kids whom thought we would be in love forever ...it took me until now to notice , nick you made me the happiest I've ever been , took me out of my comfort zone , showed me the important things in life , stayed by me on bitchy days , loved me unconditionally , pushed me when I needed it , you were my first like official boyfriend , you were my first kiss , first date , first prom date , my first I love you , my everything but you weren't and won't be my first husband and I've came to my senses with that nick Mara ...that girl across the hall deserves every once of your love that I didn't deserve ." you spoke soon enough crying while holding both of his hands while he looked at you in shock but was close to tearing up himself .

He held onto your hands shockingly tightly , not Letting go and he stood up in front of you lifting up your chin , wiping away those tears like he always did no matter the issue .

" YN , listen to me ...I don't hate you even if I'm supposed to I just can't and I honestly don't want to yo ....you're the love of my life and I didn't forget that , I feel like a headass for asking Hellene to marry me yeah she made me happy but there were days when you popped up into my head and I tried ignoring it leaving it in the past but wow you still have a dude whipped. " he looked directly to your eyes pulling you closer to him .

You started laughing while tears escaped your brown orbs once you wrapped your arms around his neck . " oh , you've finally came to your senses sharkboy ." with that you instantly kissed him on the lips and he didn't take too long to kiss back also lifting you up .

" guys t- ohhh shittttt !! Y'all they out here wilding ." Zion shouted eyeing you both .

Edwin peeped through the door running towards Hellene's room knocking.  " shorty you are canceled ."
