chapter 6

you ended up sleeping through the rest of the day, not out of you being tired.
but just frankly out of sheer laziness.

you woke up the next morning feeling refreshed and (for what ever reason) ready for the day ahead of you, or well... so you had thought.

you streched your arms out in front of you as you lazily rolled off the couch.

your body hit the ground with a loud thud "ouch" you mumbled

you layed there on the floor for quite some time as you saw lottie come over to you and layed down on your back

"really?" you complained trying to nudge her off without harming the little thing.

after a few attempts you heard the dog yap at you as she stumbled off of your back as you quickly picked yourself up off the floor.

"thank you" you mumbled as you stepped into the kitchen and made yourself some brekfast.

you brought the bowl of cereal with you out of the kitchen as you placed yourself back down onto the sofa.

you grabbed the remote for the telly and flicked hastily through the channels.

that was until something peaked your interest.

it was something about a speech of sorts.

some omnic you believe was doing it.

y'know... you never were into this rubbish but it looked interesting.

of course.. you weren't planning on attending it, no.. not in a million years.

those types of events these days were very controversial basically just asking for something bad to happen at them.

basically it's just suicide going to one of them nowadays..
at least with all this bullshit about talon or whatever that were called.

so much for world peace..

you sighed as you left the channel on and began to eat your brekfast taking glances up at the telly every now and again trying to keep up with the news.

although let's be honest..
it was all over dramatized bullshit anyway.

the rest of your day up until nightfall was uneventful, you didn't really bother to do much, you were just too busy being a lazy slob all day to do anything.

you had heard no word from lena whatsoever all day which confused you slightly and made you a tad bit worried...

-timeskip-

it was around 10pm at night when you heard someone come barging in through the front door.

"woah what the fuck!" you shouted jumping off of the couch in surprise.

"I.. I could use a little help here.." the familiar voice stuttered with pain in their tone.

you looked up at them and then it hit you who was standing just in front of the door..

lena..

you rushed over to her and grabbed her just as her knee's gave in on her.

"what the fuck happended?!" you shouted frantically lifting her up and putting her down on the sofa before going over and quickly slamming the door shut

"erm.." she trailed off wincing a little bit as she went to go move her body a little.

you took a look at her and god was she in a state..

bumps, bruises, cuts whatever you could think she had it.

you bent down next to her to get a better look, everything looked fine until or well treatable until you took a look at her shoulder, it seemed to had been a bullet wound..

"lena.." you said looking up at her "how did you get that?" you said pointing at the wound.

"I.. I.. I got caught in the crossfire of.. of a fight.." she stuttered nervously wincing still.

"we need to get you to hospital." you said now standing up right.

"No!" she shouted at you "please no.. I'll be fine."

"no, you won't you need medical attention." you scolded "now!"

you started panicking and began pacing up and down the living room bitting at your nails.

you saw lena attempting to push herself upright but failed miserably in the process.

"no, stay there. I don't want you injuring yourself any further." you mumbled.

you bent back down and took another look at her shoulder, the bullet went right through, that was a good thing right?

you rushed yourself into the kitchen and grabbed the medical supplies you had randomly stored in the back of one of your cupboards.

you came back into the living room where lena was and tried to patch her up the best you could.

when it came to the bullet wound she had on her shoulder, you had no idea how to tackle.

you helped lena sit herself upright as you tried to bandage up the wound as best as you could.

you sat down next to her and sighed. "are you sure you don't want to go to hospital, you need stitches.."

she shook her head furiously. "no no, I'll be fine.. just.. could I stay here for the night..?" she asked wincing as she breathed in and out.

"yeah, yeah sure.. are you okay...? do you need anything?" you said shaking like crazy and not sure on what to do, you didn't like seeing her like this..

lena looked at you and buried her face into your neck "i-it hurts love..." she sobbed, her sobs slightly muffled asfor her face was buried into your neck.

"I know.." you said rubbing her back up and down.
"I'll get you some pain killers kay?"

she nodded slightly wincing in a pain again as you went and got her a drink of water and a couple of pain killer tablets.

"here." you said holding out the drink and tablets.

you walked into your bedroom and walked back out with a blanket and wrapped it around lena.

"love, come here." she said weakly ushering you over.

you sat down next to her "mm-" you mumbled before being cut off by her kissing you on the cheek.

she giggled at you as she saw you blush "you're cute, y'know that?" she mumbled shuffling up next to you and wrapped the blanket around you as well.

your mind was racing and you found yourself drowning in your own thoughts, 'did she really just kiss me?' 'surely not..' 'it was just a friend thing right?' even more thoughts came flooding into your head making you blush even more.

you notuced lena starting to nod off clearly tired and ready to pass out, "tired?" you laughed quietly giving her a little grin.

"mhmm.." she replied sleepily burying her head into your neck.

and before you knew it she was out like a light.

you carefully stood up carefull not to wake her and picked her up bridal style and carried her to your room and placed her on your bed.

gently you pulled the covers over her body.

god she looked adorable you blushed looking at her..
you definitely loved her.. that was for sure.
and who knows.. maybe she loved you back..?

you sat down on the bed next to her and gently brushed a tuff of hair out of her face.

you then slipped yourself under the covers and layed there for a while waiting for sleep's warm embrace to overtake you.

whilst you were laying there you felt lena grab hold of your arm in her sleep hugging it closely as if it was a fluffy teddy bear.

sooner or later you found yourself growing sleepy and mumbled "night lena." as you drifted off to sleep.
