Quick A/N
Hey guys! Thanks for reading my story! It's my first one, so it's not the best, but whatever! This isn't important, you can skip it if you want to, I just wanted to say that this might have slow updates because I'm super busy. Okay, now that this is over, on with the story!

"Okay class, as many of you have noticed, we have a new student. Why don't you come up here and introduce yourself?" Everyone who noticed him looked at the boy while the others followed the gazes. He smirked and his vibrant eyes glimmered with mischief.
"I'm not good with that stuff. I'll leave it to you, sir."  A few girls giggled while Mr. Jacobson sighed. The boy had a challenging look in his eye and he leaned back and put his feet on his desk.
"Okay, fine. But keep your feet off of the desk!" The boy immediately adjusted and sat normally. "Class, this is Will. He moved here from New Jersey, but somehow doesn't have an accent..."
"That's because I lived here in Illinois for the first seven years of my life. Then we moved and lived there in Jersey for nine years. Then, the day after I turned sixteen, we moved back. I guess I never developed the accent all of my friends had." He looked distant. Like his body was in Illinois but his mind and soul were still in New Jersey.
"Well, it looks like I did get you to tell us about yourself!" Will came back to reality. He looked shocked for a few seconds, but scowled soon after. Everyone who was at one point laughing stopped.
"Okay, now that that's over with, I'll start role call. Jack Heere?"
"Here."
"Annie Carnes?"
"Here sir!"
"Jacob Kelly?"
"Here."
"Jessica Addams?"
"Present." I felt a pair of eyes watching the back of my head. I looked behind me and saw Will staring at me. I whipped my head around quickly and felt my cheeks go red.
"Will Laboy?"
"Yo." I smiled slightly.
"Amy Mell?"
"Here." After a little bit Mr. Jacobson was done with roll call.
"Okay, looks like everyone is here. Let's start today's lesson! Today we are going to read the first chapter of Roll Of Thunder Hear My Cry. This book has to do with...." I started to zone out when a small piece of paper was tossed carelessly onto my desk. I opened it up and saw small words scrawled onto it. Hey it read. I looked around the room and made eye contact almost instantly with Will. He smirked and made a motion that looked like writing. I knew what he meant and turned back to the paper. What do you want? I tapped Annie on the shoulder and asked her to hand it to Will. She looked pissed for a second, but obliged. Once he read what I wrote down his pencil started moving. When it came back to me it said I just want to talk. I looked up at Mr. Jacobson for a second before going back to the paper. I don't understand why you won't leave me alone I wrote. The same thing happened with Annie except this time she opened the paper and read it. I rolled my eyes and waited for her to pass it along. When Will read it he looked somewhat dejected and I felt kind of bad. When I got it once more it said I can talk to whoever I want. I just can't believe you're mad I chose to talk to you.
"Jessica? Can you tell me the answer?" I snapped back to reality.
"Can you repeat the question?" A series of giggles was heard from around the room. I could already tell that this was going to be a long year.
