Chapter 8: what!?

"Hi ladies, welcome to Musikali, I will give you ladies a tour of our many dancing studios and will also give you details on what lessons are like. If you have any questions throughout the tour, don't hesitate to ask whenever." Miko said with a genuine smile.

Miko walked us through the different ballrooms and from the far end corner, I'll Be There For You baby Bon Jovi was playing.

Miko noticed my interest when he said, "Ah, there's a pretty chill place right there where we sing karaoke almost every night or sometimes we just play music or play instruments."

"You guys give music lessons too?"

"Uhm... no, but some of us play instruments not just good enough to teach,"

"That's cool!" I said, amazed.

"Let's see who's in there," Miko said and lead us to the song room.

"Hey guys!" he said and I entered the room with two men, one had his back to us, the other turned to look and one woman was sitting on a stool glancing towards us.

Finally the other turned and my heart skipped a beat. Daryl.

At first, he looked indifferent but smiled tightly as he saw who I was. What was wrong with him?

"That's Daryl, the other is Jovi, named after Bon Jovi, and Sarah,''

"Hey," Fe and I said.

"They enrolled for tango lessons," he gestured to us.

"Nice, you'll be with Daryl," Jovi said, looking at his friend.

I tensed. What?

Daryl smiled, but it quickly disappeared when he realized what he was doing.

"Anyway, we'll go ahead with the tour," Miko said.

"That Daryl guy is cute I can't believe he's gonna teach us," Fe whispered.

I don't feel like learning the tango anymore.

"Thank you so much for the tour, Miko. Your studio is very nice," I said, smiling at him. He was about my height 5'5 and seems younger than me too, but who knew?

"No problem miss. I'm happy you enjoyed the tour and, I'll see you around?" he said.

"Yes,"

"See you ading" Fe said.

We then left the studio and Fe started to talk about how she couldn't wait to start the lessons. She talked about how cute Daryl was and I found myself rolling my eyes.

"Hey, so Daryl huh?" she teased.

"What about him?" I asked, trying to look innocent.

"I saw the way you looked at him and the way he looked at you."

"I don't know what you're talking about."

"Ah, quit playing dumb, you know each other!"

I remained silent.

"Rightttt, since when!?" Fe said.

I shrugged.

"Oh no no no. I agreed to take lessons, you better tell me!"

"Fine. I met him already..."

"When?"

"When I visited my grandpa at the hospital, I bumped into him and then... well... apparently he's my uncle's wife's nephew and he drove us back home..."

"Ouhhhh..."

"But, it doesn't change anything. He's been avoiding me ever since we left the hospital, I don't even know why."

"Maybe he's playing hard to get."

"Isn't it me who's supposed to do that?"

"Well, he thinks he's too cool maybe," she laughed

"Ha.ha. funny. I kinda like that dark and mysterious side of him though,"

"Ahhhhh—"

"BUT that's it. That's all."

"You're interested in him."

"I just find him cute, okay?"

"Riiiiight, I believe you."

I rolled my eyes.
