Chapter 44

I woke up to the sound of Haewan screaming. "Hyuk.." I groan. "Mhm.." "Shut her up." I groan into the pillow. "On it." He woke up and walked over to her crib. He picked her up and held her. "Do you think she's hungry?" I mumbled. "Maybe." Hyuk said.

"I'll get Xiumin to make her a bottle." I said. I picked up my phone and texted Xiumin.

Me-Can you do me a favor? I waited for a little bit and finally he responded.

Xiumin-Yeah

Me-Can you grab her a bottle and put blood in it and warm it up? Please?

Xiumin-Sure. Be up in a second.

"He'll be here in a second." I mumbled. "How do you think everyone is doing?" I asked. "They'll be okay. If we can kick ass against thousands of guards then I'm sure they'll be okay." He assured. "I hope so."

I heard a soft knock on the door. "It's open." I said. Xiumin slowly opened the door and peeked his head inside. "Hey." He smiled. "Bottle delivery." He said holding the bottle up. "Thanks." I smiled. He handed Hyuk the bottle and he stuck it in Haewan's mouth.

She stopped crying and began sucking the blood out of the bottle. "Oh my god. Quietness." I sighed loudly. Xiumin chuckled and quickly left. "It's only day one too." Hyuk said. "Thanks for reminding me."

"How quickly will she grow?" I asked quickly. "She might grow a little quicker than normal humans but not by much." He said. I nodded and climbed out of bed. I walked over to Haewan and Hyuk and admired the view.

"She's so cute." I smiled widely. "She's a remake of you." Hyuk smiled at me. "What time is it anyways?" I asked. "It's almost sunset. Maybe about an hour away." He guessed. Once the bottle was almost gone, I grabbed Haewan from Hyuk and carried her into my bed.

I climbed into my bed and set her down beside me. "Your gonna let her sleep in between us?" He asked. "Yeah. As long as I don't roll on her." I said. He chuckled and climb into bed on the other side of Haewan. She immediately fell asleep in Hyuk's arm.

I couldn't sleep because I began thinking about the boys. "Hyuk.." I said softly. "Mhm?" "Will the boys be alright?" I asked. "If we can defeat the queen like how we did, they will be fine." "But still. I'm really worried for-."

"Shh..you'll wake up Haewan." He said softly. I pouted and scooted close to Haewan. "Just try to get some sleep." He said before closing his eyes. I soon closed my eyes and fell into a deep sleep.

"Jang-Mi watch out!" I heard someone yell. I dunk down to avoid the king. "You think your fast little one?" He chuckled deeply. "Leave her alone!!!" I heard Hakyeon yell. "What is so special about this girl? She's pathetic. Look at her." He laughed circling my body.

"Then why are you so amused with her?" Chanyeol laughed. "I don't know to be honest. Maybe it's just because I like chasing her. Sneaking up on her. Wanting to taste her." He said with a evil grin.

"What do you say?" He asked. "Fuck. Off." I said aggressively. "Pleasure." He said. He used his speed to knock me to the ground. I felt a sharp pain in my neck causing me to scream loudly.

"Jang-Mi wake up!"

I shot my eyes open to see Hyuk holding Haewan. She was whining loudly. "I'm guessing I was yelling in my sleep again?" I asked. "Yes." Hyuk said. "Sorry." I said and covered my face with my hands and began to cry. "Hey don't cry." Hyuk said with a soft tone.

He placed Haewan into her crib and embraced me into his arms. "Shhh." She said. "I can't stand it. I need to help them." I cried. "You can't. You need to stay here with Haewan." He said still stroking my hair. "Hyuk please let me go." I sniffled. "Sorry." He said.

"I'm leaving as soon as you fall asleep." I said. "Well it looks like I'm on watch duty." He chuckled. "How can I convince you to stay?" He asked. "Nothing." I sniffled once more. "Are you sure?" He asked. "Yes I'm sure. I would feel so much better if I was there helping. At least they have an extra hand to make things a little easier." I spilled out.

"Hyuk I gotta go help." I pleaded. I began to move off the bed but Hyuk pushed me back on the bed. "Jang-Mi no." He said sternly. Me being stubborn,  I moved off the bed and ran to the door but before I made it out the door, Hyuk had pinned me against the wall.

He picked me up and threw me over his shoulders. "Hyuk let me go!" I groaned. He roughly threw me on the bed. Before I could move, he was straddling my waist and had my hands pinned above my head. I sniffled and gave up fighting.

"If I can't help them, please make me feel like I'm somewhat helpful." I pleaded. "You are helpful. In many ways. What would happen if you got killed and Haewan didn't have her mother? Hm?" Hyuk asked angrily . "I just got you all back. I'm not about to lose you again." I started to cry again.

His face softened as his hold on my wrist but he didn't completely let me go. "Your not gonna lose us. That's a promise. Listen to me... they will be okay. I promise." He said softly. He let go out my left arm and wiped my tears out from under my eyes.

"Now.. stop crying your ruining that pretty face of yours." He smiled cheekily. "I feel better now but I'm still worried." I smiled slightly. "Here." He said. He leaned forward and pressed his lips against mine. "I love you." He said in between kisses. "I love you so much." I said kissing him back.

He let go of my other arm and grabbed my neck pulling me closer to him. "Hyuk..." I said breaking the kiss. "Hmm?" He said. "C-can we not go to far please?" I asked shyly. He laughed loudly and gave me a soft peck. "Trust me. I can control myself better than Hongbin can." He said causing me to laugh.

"There's that pretty laugh." He smiled. He gave me another kiss but pulled away when there was a soft knock on the door. "Yeah?" I asked. "Sun is down." Xiumin said through the door. "Okay be out in a second." I said.

"Who's changing Haewan's diaper?" I asked. "You duh. Psh." Hyuk scoffed. I dropped my mouth open and glared at him. "Kidding. I'll do it. Close your mouth or you'll catch bugs." He said giving me a quick peck. He rolled off me and walked to Haewan'a crib.

I smiled to myself looking at Haewan and Hyuk. She really loved all 6 of them. She also loved Xiumin since that's who took care of her when she was born. I chuckled to myself knowing she's scared of Tao and Tao is scared of her. I say Hyuk smile widely making Haewan laugh. I smiled one last time and walked to the bathroom to change.
