A few hours passed and they had almost finished everything. They were both covered in dust and dirt to Perona's dismay. Her poor nose couldn't take anymore of this. There was just one crate left. She walked to it. "This is the last one" she said rubbing her nose. Zoro looked up from what he was doing. "Hang on I'll.." but It was already too late. She pulled the heavy crate with all her might causing the handle to break with a loud crack.
What happened next was in a fraction of a few seconds. Perona flew against the wooden pillar behind her. It broke due to the impact and the shelves above her crashed down threatening to crush her. Shocked she looked up as they fell. She heard a loud crash and then it was dark. "Are you okay?" She opened her eyes and was met with Zoro's and for a moment she didn't speak. Then she looked around. The wooden shelves lay around them shattered to bits. "Are you alright?" He asked again, this time a little louder. "Aah Yes..." "You should be more careful" he continued. She was still a bit in a daze. Then she saw the splinters and dried wood on his head and shoulders. He... "Did you..." he looked down on her. That's when she realized how big he actually was, with his 1.81 he towered over her. He was close enough for her to notice that his eye is in fact grey. The other closed and scared for a while now. "What did you..." "It's fine, don't worry about it". He looked at her face, small stains of dirt covered some places. A small smile crept onto his face and he continued with "Or do you like looking like you crawled out of a hole". With that remark she snapped out of her dazed state and her usual face appeared again. "How rude! Of course I don't like looking this way, idiot!" He laughed which caught her a bit of guard. "Go get cleaned up. I'll finish this up". He didn't give her time to argue about it and picked up the crate, walking past her. She looked at the rubble once more and then hovered up and head toward her room.
Once Zoro had finished up cleaning the closet he walked down the hall and let his mind wander. She really should be more careful. Someone as fragile as her could have really gotten hurt. Well at least she"s alright. He stopped in his tracks. Did he just.. worry about her? I mean he would have warned anyone but he didn't think twice about protecting her. He could have just hit the shelves away but he chose to protect her instead. He let out a grumble and rubbed the back of neck, where the shelves had fallen. "Does it hurt?" He turned around to look at her. She could never sneak up on him. She figured it was because of his training.
Mihawk and Zoro always and I mean always knew she was there. She was wearing a white night gown that reached her knees. She was barefoot and as she hovered there with her hair down she looked like an innocent little girl. "No, not really. I've been hit harder then that before". "Ow alright". She fumbled with her dress as it fell silent. Just when he was about to say something she spoke. "You are all dirty and bruised. Come with me". "What?" Her face turned red and she said it a bit louder. "Come with me".
As Zoro followed her. The clicks of his heals were heard through the empty halls. "Where are we going?" he questioned after awhile. "You'll see" is all she said. After passing a bunch of door she stopped. "We're here". He eyed the door. He had never entered that room before. She opened it and gestured him to go in. The room was damp and dimly lit. When his eyes got used to the lighting he noticed it was a bathroom. Perona's bathroom to be clear. He could tell by the decorations. It was also very neat. She hovered over to the bathtub, the source of the damp air. It was filled with lukewarm water and something else. By the smell of it he figured it were herbs.
"What's all this?" "Just a simple thank you". She spun around. "You helped me. So I help you. I don't want to be in dept to you or anything". She tiled her head to the side. "Don't worry about that" he retorted. "I wasn't expecting anything in return when I did it". "Well I already went out of my way to prepare the bath so you might as well", she replied. "It's filled with a remedy for your wounds. I'll even help you clean them properly".He pulled a face. "My wounds are fine. I don't want to". "Why you!".. she calmed herself. She closed her eyes for a bit and when she opened them again she said "Mihawk told me that if you weren't treated you weren't allowed to have any sake". "What?!" She giggled. "Grr fine". He unbuckled the swords from his waist and placed them against the wall with care. Then he continued to undress.
The dirty white shirt was about to fall to the floor but Perona caught it. "Don't just drop them" she said annoyed. She folded it properly and then placed it by the sink. She turned around facing away from him. "Continue". He raised and eyebrow and removed his pants, placing them in her stuck out hand. After doing the same she had done with his shirt she waited till he entered the bath.
