It was about 7 pm now still relatively early but on this Island it was already pitch black. Zoro had left to train in the forest as usual and Perona was in the middle of preparing dinner. Mihawk was away on some business with the world Government. Perona glanced at the Giant Clock located against the wall. Seven.... he still isn't back yet. Come on almost two years Zoro. You haven't gotten lost lately. What's up today? She was kind of worried, even though she knew he was strong enough and didn't need her.
The wind started picking up. 8 pm. Okay seriously where is he. I swear th... A bright light appeared as the lightning cracked the sky and the thunder roared. Shocked Perona looked outside. She hadn't realized it was this dark. There was no moon. Zoro could most likely not see a thing. Or he just went to take shelter from the storm he knew was approaching. Still he couldn't stay outside. She took off the apron and threw it on the table, running towards the hall. She was dressed in her normal black dress. She Grabbed her Umbrella and pushed the heavy door open. The cold wind smacked her in the face. It was already pouring down and it was only getting worse. She opened her Umbrella and entered the fray. It was dark. She could slightly make out the edge of the woods. She took off in that direction. Struggling to keep her Umbrella steady for the roaring wind. Damn the Grand-line. She started flying but realized that would be stupid because she was going against the wind. By foot it is she grumbled. She reached the woods. The loud sound of twigs and leaves in the wind could be heard.
She squint her eyes. "Zoro!!!" The wind howled loudly muffling her cry. She got even more worried. She continued to yell his name as she entered the woods more. "Zoro!!!" The edge of her dress was covered with wet leaves and mud from all the walking and she still hadn't found him. She finally reached the ruins in the middle of the jungle.... the wind was a lot heavier her since it was an open field again. "Zoro!!!" Lightning "Thunderclap". She yelped and the wind yanked her Umbrella away. "No!" In the darkness she couldn't even see where it flew. Hopelessly she tried to scan the area and shouted, "Zorooo!!!"
Zoro sat in between some of the stones of the fallen ruins. It wasn't fancy but it was dry. He had sensed the storm approaching and hoped it would blow over but apparently it had other plans. It was a nasty one too.
"Orooo". He looked up, shifting his ears. He was sure he heard someone. Before she yelled it again he knew. "Zorooo!!" "Perona". He jumped to his feet and ran into the rain. Why would she come out in the storm?!He couldn't see anything. So he calmed himself and focused his Haki. He sensed her presence at 1 0'clock from where he was standing and started running to her. This girl. He knew where she was too. Near the ledge of the old temple.
"Zoroo!!" Perona yelled helplessly. The tiles underneath her feet were slippery. Am I near the temple she thought. I better watch out for the led... a huge gust of wind hit her like a truck and she lost her balance. That which she was going to be careful for had come to bite her. She slipped off the ledge. She wanted to use her powers to stop mid air but the strong wind was having none of that and pushed her back. She fell hard on to the rocks and hit her head. Knocked out she rolled all the way down before smacking down on the broken tiles below.
Zoro rushed trough the cold dark night filled with rain and howling winds. The shouting had stopped. "Perona!" He yelled. He reached the ledge but there was no trace of her. The moment he glanced down. Lighting lit up the sky and he could see the horrible scene. Perona lay at the bottom of the ledge like a doll, motionless. Seconds passed as he jumped down the ledge and held her in his arms. "Perona".
