A.N. : It's been awhile. Please forgive.
Perona's hands sunk into the white foam. Bubbles flowed up as she scrubbed the remaining filthy plates. She slightly tilts her head to the side. Something is wrong with Zoro, she thought as she rinsed the plates and put them to dry.
She had been finishing up some chores when one of her ghosts spotted Zoro heading inside. He had not come to have dinner with her and Mihawk, who had already retired to his chambers.
She frowned as her ghosts swirled around her. "Go see him. Go see him." She blushed at the memory of him on top of her. Quickly she held onto her cheeks and shook her now red head. "What's wrong?" Her ghosts questioned. Silly beings. They would never understand. She bit her lip and grabbed the plate with Zoro's meal before flying up to his chambers. She quietly knocked on the door and a muffled "Come in." Could be heard.
Zoro leaned against the frame of his window, staring at the moon. He knew that sooner or later she would come to ask if he was alright. He heard the soft click of the door followed by the thunk of the tray. Her frame silently hovered towards him. He could sense how nervous she was when she stopped behind him. It made him feel guilty. All he wanted was for her to smile. "I'm fine Perona".
Perona frowned again. A part of her knew she had to ask or at least do something. She inched closer and tapped on his shoulder. He turn slowly turned towards her and she tried to suppress her blush. She took a deep breath before saying. "You don't have to worry about me, I'll be fine."
A look of disbelieve washed over the mans face. "You?" he started "Will be fine?! HAHAHAHAHA!" His laughter filled the room. Perona's face turned read as she started fuming. "YES!, ME!" His laughter died down as he lifted his hand and grabbed onto her dress. It caught her off guard. More so when he pulled her towards him and leaned in. "You are a priceless porcelain doll that needs to be protected." She looked at him wide eyed as he kissed her gently "but I can't protect you". He let go of her dress and turned away.
Determined she grabbed onto his sleeve and pulled him back into her arms. "I know why you're upset, but don't be. You've already done enough. You have a duty to your captain. It doesn't matter to me that you can't be by my side. Just" He voice cracked as tears started rolling down her cheeks. "Don't forget me." Zoro thightly wrapped his arms around her in an embrace "Never." he whispered as her tears flowed.
I am slowly dying while coughing x.x, but I felt guilty for leaving my stories unfinished so here I am. I also wanted to try something new with the chapters. Sorry of the seem out of character.
Oh and a small tip from me. When in a relationship ALWAYS say how you feel and ask your partner the same. That way there will never be any drama or long term misunderstandings. I am not good at writing drama because I don't make drama for myself. ~Ice
