LADETTE (Junior Year)
He sat at a table by himself
With plenty of space for us to join.
My friends and I scoured the lunchroom,
Clueless to where we three were going.
My brother tagged along because Wes
Had a small crush that he couldn't hide...
I knew it was Sage from the start
And our group buckled up for a ride.
We approached, but I got the boy's attention.
I had to make up for mistakes I made.
The bully I once turned into was put behind me.
And I led forth the 'kindness brigade.'
It's never easy to say your name first...
Tapping his arm, I watched him spin his head.
I didn't mean to make him jump...
"Sorry! It's just me, wasn't trying to scare ya," I said.
Barlow, as he shared his name,
Blushed rather hard and averted his eyes.
He was the Photography pro but barely boastful,
And completely unlike other guys.
