The golden trio guided the 'new students' to Dumbledore's office. They waited for a moment until Dumbledore came in. The headmaster eyed the two with what seems like curiosity and excitement, examining them both. Albus and Scorpius was under the old man's gaze and in some odd way, it feels intimidating yet comforting."What brings you here children?" Dumbledore asked kindly. "I haven't noticed you two before, are you new?"
Hermione nudged Harry's arm, subtly telling him to speak. Getting the idea, Harry coughed.
"Um, we found these two just outside our common room," Harry said motioning to Albus and Scorpius. "They said they needed some 'professional help'."
"Oh," Dumbledore said as if he just realized something, that none of them knows except him. "What is it then?" he asked with a smile.
Scorpius and Albus turned to each other. Both are unsure of what to do. They knew one thing about time traveling, and that is 'Not to be seen' but that's a little bit too late now isn't it?
"Tell him," Scorpius whispered to his bestfriend. "Its the best we can do anyways."
Albus nodded, understandingly. With a gulp, his eyes met Dumbledore's. The old man's eyes were warm and comforting, still that doesn't help ease the nervousness that Albus is feeling.
"Um... I think they should go out first. It's going to be a lot rocky, specially for them," Albus said.
Dumbledore didn't even bat an eyelash. "Well then, if that's what makes our guests comfortable," Dumbledore said, turning to the trio. "If you may?"
Harry's really eager to know more about the boy -Who also happens to look a lot like him, but if the boy and even Dumbledore himself wanted them out, then there's nothing else that he could do about it. Sighing, Harry turned and headed for the door, Hermione and Ron followed close by him. Once the door slammed shut, Dumbledore turned to Albus expectedly.
"Well?" The headmaster asked.
Albus gulped once more. "Um, it may sound crazy, because it is crazy but... we're from the future."
Albus met Dumbledore's eyes. Expecting the headmaster to laugh,or not believe them at first, but instead, he looked rather interested.
"Oh?" Dumbledore said looking amused. "Do tell."
Albus turned to Scorpius mentally asking for help, but the boy looked as confused and as lost as him. Albus sighed, knowing that he has to take the matters in his own hands.
"Well for starters, his name is Scorpius Hyperion Malfoy." Albus told Dumbledore motioning to Scorpius.
Dumbledore turned to Scorpius then gave him a warm smile, Scorpius replied with a shy wave.
"He's Draco Malfoy's son. We've met him actually, and he's scary as hell." Albus continued.
"Believe it or not, but that boy is actually just 'all talk'. He's actually the biggest cinnamon roll out there. Despite his facade." Dumbledore said.
Scorpius shrugged, "Explains a lot."
"Yes," Dumbledore then turned to Albus. "Who might you be? Son to Harry perhaps? You have his looks."
Albus paused before answering. "Yeah... You're right... I'm Albus Severus Potter. Harry Potter's and Ginny Weasley's second child. My dad named me after you.. And Proffesor Snape."
Dumbledore smiled. "Well that's nice to know."
"I suppose," Albus sheepishly replied.
"So you came here for my help, correct?" Dumbledore said.
Albus and Scorpius nodded.
Dumbledore stroked his chin -or in this case beard. He looks like he's in a very deep thought. Both, Albus and Scorpius hoped that he's already thinking of a plan.
"Lemme ask you both..." Dumbledore started, which lifted both Albus' and Scorpius' spirits. "How did you two got here?"
Albus and Scorpius felt let down. They were expecting something else that would come out of the wise wizard's mouth. They were homesick, and they didn't want to cause anymore trouble.
"We were making a potion that would allow you to have a glimpse of the past," Scorpius answered this time. Dumbledore eyed him carefully. As if expecting more details. "Though, we kind of messed up." Scorpius finished.
Dumbledore made an 'o' shape with his mouth. "You didn't just meddled with Time, you also meddled with Potions!"
Both Albus and Scorpius are staring at the ground. Both playing with their own feet. Dumbledore sounded like his scolding them... In the nicest and calmest way possible of course.
"Oh don't be sad children," Dumbledore smiled. "We just need a Potions master. No need to worry, cause I happen to be great friends with one."
-
"YOU DID WHAT?!" came Snape's loud angry voice.
Dumbledore asked Scorpius and Albus to expain their situation to Snape, and so they did. Both (Future) Harry and Draco told their sons that 'Snape is actually kind and just misunderstood' so when they told him about it, they thought he won't be as mad as this. Boy, were they wrong.
"W-well, I put the,-" Scorpius stammered, but Snape interrupted him.
"I know what you did! But why did you do it?" Snape questioned.
"Severus, lower your tone. The boys are obviously scared," Dumbledore instructed.
Snape sighed in order to control his temper. "Apologies Headmaster, it's just that-," Snape couldn't even express himself how idiotic these boys were.
Albus sighed. "Look, proffesor, I'm sorry we acted so 'dumb' but it's not like we can do anything about it now. That's why we asked for your help, because we're so desperate to end this and just go home."
Scorpius goggled at Albus. His bestfriend just did that! He stood up to a fuming Severus Snape! He couldn't believe that just happened. On the other hand, it seems that Snape understood the boys, and he couldn't help but notice that Harry's son inherited some of his idiotic bravery of talking back.
With a frustrated sigh, Snape turned to Albus and Scorpius. "I'll find a diversion. Surely there is one, but I can't promise you that I'll obtain it immediately. Finding such a potion requires both effort and time. Not to mention the time it would take to brew it," Snape ranted on.
"But surely, our Potions proffesor would find one, wouldn't he?" Dumbledore cut in.
Snape shot Dumbledore a look before calming his gaze. "Of course," he said.
Albus turned to Scorpius, only to see the latter staring back at him. They shared a look, both communicating with their eyes.
There's a way home. Although it may take time, but there's hope.
