Laying down on an isolated mountain side, away from the city and the people. That's what I remember the most.
It's where you told me the story of the stars, the tale of the moon. Time and time again it was always the same story and the funny thing was, I never could find myself to get tired of it.
You told me the stars shined in the image and likeliness of me, how when the moonlight casted it's dark, alluring shadow on the earth it never failed to make my eyes glow with light and sparkle with the wonder of the galaxy. The wonder your words brought me, the comfort and warmth it provided. You told me my smile was brighter than the sun and that the amount of galaxies could never add up to how much you loved me.
Infinity.
One word, eight simple letters, but a promise that meant more than the universe to us.
We promised each other infinity , for as long as time exists and much longer.
Our love was beautiful and special.
Just like you.
You were more than the best thing that had ever happen to me.
Back to the same mountain side.
I recall all of our memories and I smile, slowly gazing up to the same stars we promised our infinity under.
I smile, thinking about your laugh.
Your bright smile that held only love.
Your heart, warm and understanding.
I think about the things you wanted to achieve.
What we wanted to achieve together and the dreams we made from just the hope we carried within our hearts that belonged solely to each other.
I think about the many things we wanted, the family we wanted to start.
Glancing down at the unfulfilled promise around my ring finger, for probably the millionth time again, I smile.
The promise of infinity rings through my thoughts endlessly.
Our promise of giving our forevers up to each other.
Another unfulfilled promise.
But through it all I smile.
For I know.
I know that amongst the stars that you had said didn't compare to me.
I know amongst the moon and the sun, and every single galaxy out there that could never compare to our love, I know.
I know you're smiling too, but you're staring down from among the stars.
While I stare above, down below where our infinity was left, unfulfilled.
"I love you, for infinity. " I say, but you know that already.
Glancing at the galaxy above one last time, I walk down the narrow path back to civilization.
Back to my daily routine, once again.
And from behind you lay.
The same marble white Stone that had aged two years.
The same marble stone that says what had sealed our unfulfilled promises.
In loving memory.

Yo this was short, buhhh like yeah.
Who knew staring at the stars would lead me to write this shit storm.
It sucks, I know, but cut me some slack it's been months since I've last written.
Can't say I'll write any time soon, the way I genuinely did with this story.
Oh well.
Hope you aren't too triggered.
Oops.
