Kassandra's POV

I woke to warmth at my back and front,  Aliana's arm was wrapped around my waist and Fen was snuggled up to my front. I've never felt like this before, safe, loved, protected and I've never been more happier in my life.

"Are you awake?" Aliana asked as she pushed herself up on one elbow to look down at me.

Turning my head slightly to the side I loose my breath once again when I realise how beautiful she truly is.

And she wants me!

Sometimes I can't believe it and I'm waiting on the other shoe to drop.

"I would never leave you." She says and I'm shocked, how did she know?

"I can read your mind." She says and I immediately blush straight to my root. Oh my god! Has she heard what I've been thinking and saying about her.

"This is the first time I've done this, I would never violate your privacy like that."

Thank god or this would have been an even more embarrasing morning. Then I remembered last night and how I had tried to seduce her in the shower, if it was even possible I'm sure my face was even more red than before.

"You're really cute when you blush." My face couldn't get any redder, so I tried to hide under the covers.

" You have nothing to be ashamed about, I wanted nothing more than to be with you last night, to have you under me and screaming my name. But the timing isn't right. And I want to make sure that you completly understand what it means to be with me and be my mate.Once were finished dealing with this problem, make no mistake that I will take you completly as my mate, my equal, my only, my first and last, my everything. The Gods themselves wouldn't be able to take you from me. So please be patient with me my little mate, let me make it safe for you and then you will have all of me."

By the end of her speech I realise I'm crying, she brings one of her hands up and wipes away my tears.

"O-ok." manage to sniffle out. Never has anyone cared so much about me.

I had to clear my throat before I was able to speak properly.

"So what's on the agenda for today?" I ask has as I sit up in bed.

"I have a visit with the vampire council later."

"Am I going along with you?" I ask, not wanting to assume.

"Of couse, there is no safer place for you than with me." She leans towards me and gives me a small kiss on the ckeek.

I give her a bright smile as she turns and climbs out the bed, she goes into the bathroom and closes the door behind her. I turn toward Fen and shake him awake.

"Fen, Fen. Wake up." I scratch behind his head and his paw starts to  wiggle.

"Fen there's a giant bone here for you." His ears immediately perk up and he jumps up on all fours, head swinging from left to right.

"Where is it? Where's the giant bone?" I laugh and he turns a puppy glare on me, that just makes me laugh harder. He growls as he stalks towards me. I scramble to the end of the bed and he tackles me from behind. we roll on the floor trying to top each other. We hear a growl coming from the direction of the bathroom, we both pause in our game and look up at Aliana, whose staring down at us with an amused expresion.

"What's up." I ask her,as if this was a normal occurance. She shakes her head at us and makes her toward the door.

"I'm going to make breakfast." She says leaving the room.
