Battle

The ship shudderd and I turned with my blades in my hands to face the others.

I held the two swords with one hand and point my free hand at Scar and Fen. I send them some of my new power so they will be able to fight and use the energy form at will.

"Whoa. Thanks Ali." Fen said feeling his new strength and looking down at his now glowing body.

Moving towards Kassandra I placed a light protection on her and she also goes into her energy form. It's not that I don't have faith in her fighting abilities, it's just that I'm overprotective of her and I'd rather be safe than sorry.

"It's ok, our mate understands." Krii says and I nod.

I step away from her and turn to face the outer wall as I can feel them getting closer. I fix my blades in my hands and go into my energy form just as the wall explodes.

When the debry finally cleared from the explosion and everything had been pulled out into space, we faced our enemy.

There had to be at least eight of them all lined up outside the hole in the wall looking in at us, all of them are covered in the same writhing darkness as the first one I had killed.

Each side stood still waiting for the other to make the first move.

One person floated forward, a woman, with dark brown hair and brown eyes. She moved closer and floated through the hole and landed softly on the floor.

Her gaze shifted between Fen and Scar before she focused on Kassandra and I growled. Her gaze travelled down to the sword in Kassandras' hand and I watched her eyes widen before she was able to blank it.

I narrowed my eyes and watched her more carefully. Her gaze finally met mine but she kept that bored look in her face, shifting down to my swords she couldn't keep the astonished look off her face.

"How....." She started but stopped to try and compose herself.

"How did two from the light faction attain the Illirain blades?" She finally asked.

I tilted my head to the side 'Illirian'?

She studied me and her brows furrowed as she looked from me to Kassandra.

Her brown eyes locked on mine but she soon shifted them to the side.

They others behind her moved closer and I tensed.

She held up a hand and they stopped moving. She looked at me again.

"Come with us or we will be forced to destroy you." She said and her eyes once again shifted to my blades and a look of greed ran across her face.

I gripped my blades tighter and sensed the others in the room readying themselves also.

The others behind her also tensed but she looked relaxed.

"What is your decision?" She asked.

"Neither." I say and sprang forward already swing my blade, decapitating the one furthest to the left. After that everyone moved.

Out of the corner of my eye I noticed that Kassandra had engaged the leader and a shot of worry went through me.

But I had to turn my attention back to the ones in front of me and trust in Kassandras' training.

The remaining six all swarmed towards me, pulling out swords of their own but these we're normal steel swords and my blades cut right through them and cut flesh.

They completly ignored Fen and Scar and for them that proved fatal as Fen snatched one of them from behind and started ripping off limbs.

Another turned and tried to stab Scar with his broken sword, she jumped over his thust and raked her sharp claws down his back. He screamed and spun around to face her but she had already spung forward and had his neck between her jaws. She pulled back and blood sprayed out covering her muzzle as he dropped to the ground.

The remaining four wern't ignoring them now as their gazes shifted from me to them.

I took that opportunity to look over at Kassandra and found that she was holding her own against the leader who looked frustrated that she wasn't able to get a hit on Kassandra.

The leader also seemed to know that she needed to avoid Kassandras' blade at all costs.

Taking my momentary lapse in focus two of them sprung at me, Fen slammed into one and they rolled on the floor snarling and fighting.

I held my blade forward and the other impailed himself on the end of it, his body already starting to dissolve.

A yelp turned my attention to Scar and I noticed that the remaing two had decided to double team her. She backed up in order to keep the both of them in her sight and I moved towards them to help.

A chill ran down my spine and I froze, my gaze turning to the hole in the wall and I gazed out into space, seeing nothing.

I felt Fen streak past me and tackle one of the two circling Scar to the ground.

Turning away from the hole I saw Kassandra deliver a rib breaking kick to the leaders' side and she flew back through the air and slammed into a wall.

She stood up and looked over at us and the remaining member of her team moved over to her side and glared at us.

I had that spine chilling again and noticed that the leader must have felt it too because she also looked out of the hole into space. She turned and looked back at us with hatred on her face.

"I will see you again." She said as she motioned for the other to follow her out, Kassandra took a step forward as if to follow them but I stopped her.

They watched us with hate filled eyes until they cleared the hole and then they looked back again and a look of fear quickly flashed across their faces and they flew off.

I stayed perfectly still waiting for whatever was about to come to arrive my blades ready and the others followed my lead and stayed ready.

A bright white light flashed in the distance then disappeared and I thought that I was seeing things until it flashed again and soon more lights began flashing and getting brighter

"What is that?" Kassandra asked but I had no answer for her.

"All will be revealed." Krii growled in my head.

I looked at Kassandra and guessed that Laas had also spoken to her.

The lights kept coming closer and closer until we had to close our eyes from the intensity of it.

From behind closed lids I watched the bright light dim and inched my eyes open.

Kassandra gasped beside me and I turned to fully face the front.

In front of us stood four enormous men in what looked like white steel armor who had swords at their sidess who we're also in energy form like our last visitors, but where the others had black swirling darkness covering them, these guys had energy as white as mine and Kassandas' around them. I watched as they took in everything around them, from the body parts scattered around the room to Fen and Scar who they let their eyes linger on longer than I liked, before finally coming to a stop on Kassandra and I.

As with everyone else I saw their eyes widen as they landed on our blades.

The largest one who I would say looked to be about 7" stepped forward.

"I am General Sif, by the laws that govern the light Illirian race, I hereby place you under arrest for desertion.

"You we're always looking for more of you kind, here they are." Fen chuckled through our link.
