Scar

Kassandra'POV

I watched as Aliana walked towards the white light, she bent down and dug around in it for a while.

She then stood up with her back too us, when she turned around, there was something white in her hands.

Fen jumped off of my shoulder and raced over to her and flew onto her shoulder, a look of wonder on his face.

"Is that?" He asked and Aliana nodded and held the white bundle out to me.

I approached them slowly and held out my hands to take it. As soon as I took it I felt warmth moving through me and the little bundle began to stir.

"Hello." A tiny voice said.

My eyes widened and I looked down into a pair of scarlett colored eyes.

"Hello little one." I said smiling. "What is your name?".

"I don't have one." It says and give a little puppy pout.

"Hmm. lets see." I say and try to think of a name.

"Make it a good one Kass." Fen says looking at me worriedly.

I raise an eyebrow at him and he ducks down into Aliana.

"I mean you don't want the little lady there to end up with a name like 'Fen' would you." He says and Aliana huffs.

"It was the best I could come up with." Aliana says seriously.

I chuckle at that then turn back to the little pup in my hands.

"Ok. How about Scar? It's short for Scarlett, like the color of your eyes." I ask her and she scrunches up her nose.

"Scar?" She asks, testing out the name.

I nod my head then look over at Aliana and Fen. They just shrug their shoulders and we all looked back at the little white ball who looked to be deep in thought.

"It will do." She says after a while and smiles.

She unwraps herself from her ball and climbs up on my shoulders making herself comfortable, her snout resting on my shoulder.

"So who are you?" She asks.

"I'm Kassandra and this is my mate Aliana and her partner Fen." I tell her.

"So I guess that would make me your partner then?" She asks.

"I'm not sure, I don't know exactly what it means." I tell her honestly.

"How..." She starts but is cut off by Aliana.

"Let's head back to the compound, the creatures here are starting to take notice of us." She says placing her hand on my shoulder.

I looked around and for the first time noticed how silent it was around us, I can see eyes peering at us from the surrounding forest.

One second we're in the clearing and the next we're back in the house at the compound.

Fen hops off of Aliana's shoulders and crawls up on my other shoulder and nudges Scar with his snout.

"Scar?" He asks quietly looking shy.

"Yes?" She says and lifts her head and looks at him.

"I just wanted to introduce myself to you formally." He says with his head bowed.

She stands up on my shoulders now and jumps to the floor and Fen followers her down.

They face each other and Fen speaks.

"Good day beautiful lady, my name is Fen and it is an honor to meet someone as beautiful as you." Fen says back to his charming self.

If puppy like creatures could blush I'm sure Scar would have been ten shades by now.

I smile and make my way over to Aliana and she wraps her arms around my waist pulling my back to her front as we continued to watch these two.

"Hello, my name name is Scar and the honor is all mine." She says shyly.

"Awww." I say interrupting their moment and all eyes turn to me.

"Sorry." I mutter, feeling Aliana pull me closer.

After a few minutes of them flirting back and forth Aliana releases me from her grip and walks over to them. She stops and scoops up Fen and I follow picking up Scar.

We make our way to a sitting room and sit down.

"Scar, can you remeber anything from before you were 'born'?" Aliana asks all business now.

"You could have waited until she was more settled in Ali." Fen says looking upset.

"The longer we wait the more likely that she'll forget." Aliana tells him.

He doesn't say anyting to that, he just comes over and sits next to Scar.

"I don't remember much, it seems as if you are right about forgetting." She says scrunching up her face.

"All I can basically remember is a need to be here, to meet you guys." She says.

Aliana gives her a hard look and Scar scoots closer to me. Fen jumps up and growls at Aliana shocking us all , especially Fen.

His eyes widens then he lowers himself into the seat.

"Well that answers that." Aliana says looking at Fen with a soft expression, well as soft as Aliana can manage.

"Answers what?" I ask her.

"Mates." She says indicating Fen and Scar.

"So she's here as Fen's mate?" I ask looking between the two pups.

"And as your partner." Aliana finishes.

Scar nods here head in agreement with Aliana.

Scar suddenly moves away from my side and goes over to Aliana.

"There's one more thing that I remember." She says to Aliana.

Aliana nods her head for her to continue.

"There was a woman there who kept telling me that I was about to make a long journey and to protect my partner and mate, she said that there was something big coming to this galaxy and that we needed to be prepared." Scar says looking directly at Aliana now, neither blinking.

"She also looked exactly like you." She says.
