Rigby woke up a few hours later with a whine. He opened his eyes slowly to show the face of his best friend.

"Hey Rigs." Mordecai started. "You really scared us back there."

Rigby furrowed his brows. "What even happened? Last I remember I was coming down stairs to see what you were up to."

"Your fever skyrocketed and you fainted." Mordecai informed him.

Rigby yawned and sat up. "How long have I been out?"

"About three or four hours." Benson said, making Rigby look at him.

Benson did not look happy. He looked quite mad actually.

Rigby, not thinking straight because of the fever still running amuck through his body, shrunk away from the glare, causing Benson's face to contort to one if concern.

This wasn't the Rigby he knew and tolerated. This was someone else. It had to be.

Rigby averted his eyes from Benson's face, not understanding what the expression change meant, but fearing it to be bad.

"Are you feeling any better?" Mordecai asked, not liking the silence that had befallen them.

Rigby looked over to Mordecai. Thinking about it, Rigby did feel a bit better but also worse in some aspects.

He didn't feel super cold now but he felt way too over heated and his stomach felt like it was angry. He did not like either of those feelings.

In the end, he shook his head.

Mordecai's face fell.

Now Rigby felt guilty. He had only told the truth, but it had hurt his best friend.

Noticing the guilt ridden look on Rigby's face, Mordecai smiled sadly.

"I'll go inform the doctor you're awake." Benson said, wanting to get away from the two friends. Things were getting awkward and Benson didn't do awkward gracefully.

"Good idea." Mordecai agreed.

Benson left just as Muscle Man and Highfive Ghost entered.

"How's the Rigbone holding up?" Muscle Man asked.

"Not great but not terrible either." Rigby answered.

"I thought for sure you'd sleep at least a day." Highfive Ghost said, utterly shocked to see Rigby awake and sitting up.

Rigby shrugged apologetically.

"It's great to see you up! You really scared us back there." Highfive Ghost said.

"So I've been told." Rigby laughed until he started coughing.

A doctor walked in about when the fit ended.

"Hey, how are you feeling? My name is Dr. Blaylock and I will be taking your vital signs." The small calico cat said. "Now what's your name and birthdate?"

Rigby smiled at her before answering as she checked his charts and arm band. Her coat was dragging on the ground and Rigby was finding it hard to keep his laughter in. Mordecai was having the same issue, as was Muscle Man and Highfive Ghost.

The calico cat, Dr. Blaylock, ignored the chuckles she got from the four and instead went about checking his vital signs, explaining what she was doing during the entire process. She seemed a littke awkward about it but Rigby forgave her seeing as she seemed to be fresh out of school with all the terms she was spitting out.

"So what's your first name, Dr. Blaylock?" Rigby asked as she was writing something down.

Dr. Blaylock waited until she was done writing before answering. "Kitten."

The four men burst out laughing. They just could not handle a cat whose name was Kitten.

Dr. Kitten just laughed along with them.
