"Damn, her shit fat as hell." Naps stated, thrusting his hips towards the air as if the brown sugar honey was against him.
"Nigga move. You couldn't get her if you were Rick James." Mike said earning obnoxious laughs from our friend group.
"I can get yo' mama though. The snow bunnies can't resist this." Mike grabbed Naps's scrawny neck and brought him into a choke hold. The two teens wrestled on Sweetwater's floor that riddled with empty soda cans and the saliva covered gum that fell out of couple's mouths when chewing eachother's faces off.
Mike had a black dad and a white mom which is why we called him 'Mixed Mike'. Mrs. Evans caught the eye of every hormone crazed boy in the Bronx, including myself. We couldn't blame Mr. Evans for hitting, nothing on her was white if you know what I mean.
"Yo X, wouldn't you hit Mike's momma if you had the chance?" Naps asked while his head was still under Mike's armpit.
"I'm more of a chocolate dude myself." I said, popping the fry covered in ketchup into my mouth.
Junior swiveled his way to my side to direct my attention to the exact chocolate I was referring to. Her wide bell-bottoms swayed with every switch as her belly button ring shined by the neon lights.
"Why are you wearing this shirt? We have a reputation to uphold Xavier."
She plucked at my shirt and rolled her eyes at me in disgust. Her name was Sweetness but nothing about her was sweet. A smart ass mouth and an attitude was the only thing she carried on her. It's a full time job trying to be her boyfriend, trying to keep up to her unrealistic standards. But she was cool, you know, when she wasn't making someone kiss her ass.
"It's a fly ass shirt Olivia, don't hate on me cause I look good." I said with a smirk, popping my collar which only pissed her off more.
"Stop calling me that! God, you are so annoying. Be thankful you're the only guy good enough for me, X."
I let out a tiny chuckle as her and her minions pranced away to put their skates on. I never understood why she'd call herself Sweetness or the queen of Sweetwater. Before, she was Olivia Jenkins. Kind of bratty, but atleast Olivia had feelings. I wanted to get out of that relationship so bad, but there was no other chick I cared for. And don't get me started on that bitch Ja-
"Why the fuck is she here?" Sweetness semi-yelled, interrupting my thoughts and earning the attention of not just our crew but the crew that just wobbled in.
Jaslynn took one glance at Sweetness and then at me and followed to roll her eyes. She looked good, I couldn't lie and my curiosity began to peak as a tall male's arm captured her waist with his arm.
"It's a free country Sweet Tea, I ain't even worried about you. Just move so we can skate."
My eyes traveled to an angry Sweetness who practically had steam rushing out her ears. And even though Sweetness annoyed the living hell out of me, Jaslynn was just that small bit to send me over edge.
"B, shut up. Witcho hoe ass. You ain't welcome here bitch." I snarled as Sweetness wrapped her arms around my chest.
"I've been waiting on this all day nigga," Jaslynn sassed back, "and if you think that I'm gonna give up Sweetwater because some Mike Tyson and Robin Givens ass wannabes want to skate to the beat of their own dying relationship, you're dead wrong. Get over yourself, bitch."
We were centimeters away and I could feel the heat radiating off her body. I liked the way I got under her skin.
No.
I loved the way I got under her skin. The way her nose crinkled in disgust. The way her cheeks flustered in frustration. The way her big, brown eyes rolled in annoyance and found their way back to mine. I loved making her mad, which is why I intend to do at whenever, wherever.
I guess Sweetness noticed our focus on eachother which is why she pushed me out the way to become face to face with Jaslynn.
"I would step off if I were you. But I know you can't seeing that most girls got home training from their mothers...you couldn't possibly relate though."
Jaslynn's face softened as Sweetness spoke. One thing I knew about Jas was that she idolized her mom. When she was diagnosed with cancer, Jas couldn't even look anyone in the eye without busting into tears.
Jaslynn smacked Sweetness and the sound echoed all the way to the food court.
"You stupid bitch! I swear on everything, I'll kill you!" She screamed, as her friends held her back one by one.
"I'd rather you roll over in the grave, that way you can wake up to Mommy Dearest." Sweetness said, an evil smirk painting her face.
This summer is gonna be harder than I thought.
