Chapter 26

Emma's POV.

I stop and turn around. Regina's eyes are fluttering and her toes are wiggling.

"Gina?" No response.

"Regina!" I say desperate for her to reply.

"Em-m-a" she stutters and her eyes fly open. I rush to her side and I'm happy crying, crying a lot.

"Your back my bub"

"What happened ?" She asks, her voice weak.

"I will tell you some other time my love, I just want to look at you for a minute, gods I've missed you so so much. " her hand raises slowly to my cheek and she places it there.

"I'm here now my Swan. " I cry again but I'm happy, she's all I need.

"Your awake?" That stupid ass doctor Whale walks in the room.

"It's been precisely 23 days Miss Mills, welcome back. " she squeezes my hand.

"23 days! I've been asleep for 20 bloody 3 days!" When she's done saying this she begins to have a coughing fit.

"Take it easy Gina"

"I would like to do a few tests and give you one last look over before we can talk about your discharge?"

"Yeah, " I reply. I think it's about time she came home.

I'm holding both of Gina's hands and I'm guiding her to one end of the room, her legs are shaking like crazy.

"It must of been a bad crash, I mean 23 days. "

"You remember?" I ask

"I remember trying to break, and it didn't work. *pause * The I was trying really hard to call Henry and then everything goes black. " her breathing becomes heavier.

"It's ok, you don't have remember it now" I say leading her back to her bed she leans her head on my shoulder and I place kisses on her head. Her cheekbones are more defined and her stomach is definitely flatter and her legs look thinner.

"How did it go?" Whale walked through the door again.

"She can still walk and she doesn't feel nauseous or faint. " He writes this down on a clipboard before nodding.

"That's good. I'm going to let you leave but if you feel anything as much as a small pain in your stomach oyou come back her straight away okay?" He says looking at Regina. She just nods at him.

"I'll just grab you a wheelchair. "

"What am I going to wear" she was wearing her hospital gown and socks as she had complained her feet were cold earlier on today. I remove my red leather jacket and drape it on her shoulders.

"Thank you. I can't believe I'm leaving so early on but I would rather be at home than here. You haven't destroyed my house have you ?"

"Oh yeah I'm there might be a few plates and clothes around but we can sort that out " I nervous giggle.

"What at I going to do with you Swan. " she says and then at that moment Whale comes back wheeling a wheelchair through. She sits down and we are ready to leave now, Henry is going to be over the moon.

"Screw it. " She rises from the wheelchair and strolls over to my bug as if she hasn't been in a coma for 3 weeks.

"Um OKAY THEN!" I shout at her.

"What? You only live once Swan!"

"Get back in this Chair right now Regina Mills! You have to rest. "

"But I'm fine" I glare at the brunette woman across the street from me.

"FINE! " she yells at me and storms over to the wheel chair.

"Happy ?"

"I'm not the bad guy here. I want the woman I love to be alive thank you very much. "

"I am alive. " We get to the car.

"Swan! I may as well of just stayed where I was. 

We arrive outside 108 mifflin street and I'm getting out the wheelchair for Regina who is out of sight. Jesus! That woman. I slam the trunk shut and walk into the wide open door.

"I've missed my house!" I leave the wheelchair in the hallway and I spot Regina spread out on her couch.

"When is Henry home! I want to see my baby. "

"I'm actually due to get him right about now so stay out and I'll be back soon. "

"Okay. " she comes over and kisses me passionately, her fingers getting tangled in my blonde locks.

"Hurry home" she whispers in my ear and I wink at her.

"Hey kid how was school?" I ask him as he approaches me.

"Terrible, I had the worst day ever! Double maths? Like the number one way to torture a kid. "

"That's extremely true but maths is important kid and anyway, I have a surprise for you, something that's definitely gonna cheer you up. "

"I'm in a bad mood ma, today was stressful, my friends have fallen out with me because I'm down about Regina and I found out I'm failing. "
I bend down so I'm his size.

"You have every right to be sad about Regina , she was there when nobody else was. Your friends aren't your real friends if they fall out with you because of it" I smile at him.

"Your looking at the biggest failure here. I failed all my classes, I misbehaved and I payed until I finally decided that I needed to get my head down. I studied so hard until I got it right, then I passed. I still wasn't the sharpest tool in the box but I set myself a goal and I achieved it and I believe in you kid. I really do. " he hugs me really hard and I return it.

"But I swear to you what I have will cheer you up instantly. "

"It better be a whole load of food. " I laugh at him , he's so like me.

"Wait and see kid, wait and see. " We get in the bug and drive to Regina's house.

"Close your eyes, okay?"

"Mom, seriously?"

"Yeah seriously now close your eyes. " Henry covers his eyes with his hands and I guide him into the lounge by his shoulders where Regina is. She's standing in the middle of the room, makeup done already because ya know priorities and stuff. I wink at her.

"And you can look now. " I stand behind him excited to see his reaction.
Henry slowly moves his hands away from his eyes,

"Regina!" He screams in delight and runs up to her.

"I've missed you so much" he says hugging her tight.

"And I you, my love. " she replies. Hugging him back.
