Chapter 8

Emma's POV

"I guess I'll be leaving you now Swan. Can you handle it without me ?" I chuckle.
"I think I'll be able to handle myself thank you. " she smiles at me and holds her arm out for the cab. Rose said she would pick me up. Regina gives me a small wave as she gets in the cab. I return the wave and turn my back. I grab my phone out of my jacket pocket and dial Rose's number.
"Hey your coming right?" I ask when Rose picks up.
"Look behind you Swan" confused I look behind me to see Regina walking towards me again.
"Mills miss me al-" she cuts me off by pressing a kiss to my lips. She moves her hands to either side of my face and I kiss her back.
"It's about time Miss Mills. " I say.
"I'll be leaving now Swan. " I look into her eyes and she walks away. Again. Rose had already ended the call and she was now standing beside me. I didn't notice my mouth was open before she closed it for me.
"Holy hell Swan"
"Oh my god did you see that she kissed me oh my god I'm going to faint!"
"I suggest you walk over to my car and get in Swan before you actually do. "

On the drive home I'm telling Rose all about Paris and she seems to want all of the details. Like all of them.
"So you never you know ?"
"No we didn't" She looks disappointed.
"Oh come on you slept in the same bed"
"Yeah but it doesn't mean we did it Rose" she sighs.
"Tell me about the fancy restaurant"
"Oh yeah about that..."
"Swan what have you done." She looks at me.
"I told her about Henry "
"What?" She glances at me before concentrating on the road again.
"Are you mad at me ?"
"Swan why would I be mad, I just don't want you to get judged or made fun of by anyone if it gets out"
"Rose she said she would help find him" she nodded.
"And you believe her Swan?" Why was she being like this?
"Yes Rose, I trust her" we don't say anything for the rest of the way home.

"Thanks for dropping me off, sure you don't want to come in for a little bit? "
I say as I get out Rose's car
"Thanks but I'm making Major dinner so I can't. " Major is Rose's boyfriend and they are so cute together (Izombie reference lovelies)
"Ok well I'll see you tomorrow " I say to her.
"Yeah, I love you lots Swan bye"
"Bye Rose" she drives away and I'm left with my suitcase and some stairs to climb. Great.

I take my shoes off and dive onto my sofa. Yes I still do that because I am still a child. I'm hungry. Let's see what I have to burn in my cupboards. I walk over to my kitchen and look through what I have to eat. I decide on a can of tomato soup. My phone buzzes whilst I am waiting, it's from Regina.
Hi.
Hey
I reply immediately. About a minute later I get another one.
Missing me Swan? 
I can't help but smile at the message.
Of course
I reply before shutting my phone off because my soup is ready. Yum.

I'm currently sitting cross legged on my floor unpacking my suitcase, deciding what is clean and what is not. I've already watched like 3 episodes of Greys Anatomy since I've been here and now it's 8PM. When I'm done I put everything in the laundry basket and leave it all for tomorrow , I head to my bathroom. Taking my toothbrush I look at myself in the mirror. I feel good about myself, I feel a confidence that I haven't been aware of before. I've never really cared much about my appearance before but since I've been with Regina I really do. Not only do I care about what I look like, I actually like the  way I look. I smile at myself in the mirror and begin brushing my teeth.

Day 34 of being Mills' personal assistant.

I'm wide awake at 4:44 which is not normal for me at all. Well I decide to get up anyway. When I'm in the shower I feel like all my worries just melt away. The hot water streaming down my body makes me relax. When I'm out, I pick out my outfit and begin my day.

---At Mills and Co-----

"Swan oh my goodness you looked killer on that runway babe!" All of these people who haven't ever spoken to me before are now crowding me asking me questions. Then a loud voice boomed over the crowd.
"WHAT IS GOING ON IN HERE?" Everyone scatters leaving me standing. in the middle. Regina looks right at me.
"Swan my office now!" I obediently follow her to her office. "Care to explain what that was about?" She asked as she slammed the door.
"Umm everyone was crowding around me asking me questions. " She walks up to me and I become a little bit scared, she pushes me against the door and slams her lips against mine. Well I wasn't expecting that. I kiss her back just as eagerly before she annoyingly pulls away.
"Back to work Swan. "
This woman is going to be the death of me.
