Kristy's P.O.V.
"OhmylordNick! You just gave me half a freaking heart attack!"
He laughed, "So ya wanna dance?"
"As soon as I restart my heart."
He chuckled, "Is that a yes?"
"I needa learn to breathe again first."
"Ima take that as a yes then."
This I was okay with. I could actually dance.
"Okay, we're good." I nodded.
"Aright. Lets dance."
As soon as he said lets dance a slow song came on.
I looked up at him and bit my lip, "Is a slow song okay?"
"It's perfect."
Ohwow. Maybe mom was right.
No. don't think that way, because if she was wrong it will hurt more.
But I had to know.
Half way through the song I decided I had to ask him.
"Hey Nick?"
"Yeah?" he looked down at me.
"Can I ask you a question?"
"Sure."
"Do you-um, well, do you like me?"
He paused for a second, and I got the feeling that he didn't know which like I meant. "Of course I like you."
"No, I mean like like me."
Ohisoshouldn'thavesaidthat.Ishouldn'thaveasked.Ishouldnt'haveasked.Ishouldn'thaveasked.
"Yeah, I do." he said softly.
See! I shouldn't have-Wait! What?!?
"Really?"
"Yeah, I always have. Well, since I met you anyways."
"Good."
Oops.
That wasn't supposed to be out loud either.
"Good?" he questioned, looking down at me with a smile.
"Yeah. Good." I looked at his shoulder.
We stopped dancing.
"Why's it good?"
"No reason."
He gently lifted my chin up to loook at him, "I think there's a reason."
"Okay. There is."
"Tell me."
"I maybe like you too."
"Maybe?"
"Maybe."
Then he did something I never expected.
He leaned down and kissed me.
It was the softest of kisses, but it sent butterflies right straight down to my stomach.
"Defiantly."
Damn! Why do I keep doing that?!
It wasn't supposed to be out loud!
He chuckled and we started dancing again.
I don't know how long we danced for, but I was having fun, and I had a lot to think about.
That was my first kiss.
I don't count the others because they were just dares.
That was my first real kiss.
And I liked this boy.
I actually liked him. For real.
And I-maybe-wanted to be able to say that I was his girlfriend.
How crazy is that?!
This is me that we are talking about here!
Eventually I started to get tired and Nick must have noticed because he steered us away from the crowd of dancers and over to the couch.
"Umm, Kristy, I know that this is going to sound bad, cause I really don't know how to word it so I'm just gonna say it." he gulped. "Will you be my girlfriend?"
Okaaay, so.
I feel really bad about about not updating in so long,
So ima update again tomorrow.
I promise :)
