"There you are! Have you settled into a room yet? Isn't this place amazing!" my uncle asked as he was carrying a box of kitchen supplies. "Whoa, Uncle Clark, slow down. Yeah I found a room, but about this house..." "Don't you just love it? It was a great price and I know how much you wanted to leave, so here we are," he interrupted me just as I was about to say I didn't want to stay in this place a second longer.

How was I supposed to say that now? He looked so happy, and he has done way too much for me lately. I mean he picked up his whole life so I could be happier. Now I was going to tell him this was a bad idea. No way!

So I put on a brave smile, "Yeah it's really amazing and I found a really nice room." I had thought about changing rooms so I wouldn't have to see Elliott, but then that would mean he wins, and I don't just give up like that.

When bedtime came I was nervous to go into my room, but luckily Elliott obeyed the rules and stayed out of the bathroom while showered and got ready for bed. Now I just had to stop being scared and take control of my own room.

"Long time no see. I thought by now you'd have moved out." I jumped as the voice came from the far corner of the room. There Elliott stood arms across his chest with a huge grin on his face. "Now why would I do that? This is my house after all." I felt confident and the fear semi-disappeared which made me all the more relieved.

"Oh? I see someone put on her big girl pants and is staying," he said still with that stupid grin. I hated him all the more for the amount of sass I was getting. "Whatever, I'm going to bed so if you don't mind could you please like go somewhere else?" I said hoping he'd disappear and go to another part of the house.

But no such luck. He was here to stay and I'd had to get over the fact that I was about to sleep in a room with a ghost, and not just any ghost but a teenage boy. Am I the only girl who doesn't see this as a dream come true?

So I sucked it up, got into bed and attempted to fall asleep. I had my first day of school in the morning and I couldn't get a new start with zero hours of beauty sleep.
