"How was your shower?" Alex asked as Maggie came out of the bathroom in a towel.

"It was great." Maggie said. "Thanks for letting me crash here tonight."

"No problem. I don't see why we can't be friends."

"I would like that."

"Me too."

Maggie smiles for the first time since she and Alex broke. Lately all she's been doing is crying and passing out drunk. It felt good to smile again. Maggie then goes to remove towel, but stops when she realizes she's still in the room with Alex. It really isn't a big deal since they've seen each other naked before and they have the same body parts, but there's just something about it that feels awkward to Maggie so she wraps the towel back around and goes to get dressed in the bathroom.

While Maggie was in the bathroom getting dressed, Alex was trying to calm her heartbeat down. She almost saw Maggie naked again. She has seen her naked before. But would be the first time since there break up that Alex would've seen Maggie naked. She had mentality slap herself for acting the way she was right now and if she didn't control her hormones, Maggie would leave again before her and Maggie could try to rekindle their romance.

In the bathroom, Maggie was looking at herself in the mirror, thinking about how she almost blew in their by showing her body to Alex. She didn't want to do anything to jeopardize their friendship before they had a chance to repair it, but she almost did.

A few minutes later, the bathroom door and Maggie walked out dressed in the clothes that she had on before. They weren't dirty and they didn't stink and she had only wore once so what the hell.

"So how do you want to do the sleeping arrangements?" Maggie asked.

"We can share the bed Maggie, there's no reason for you to sleep on the floor." Alex replied.

"Are you sure, because I'm cool with if you are."

"Honestly its fine just one rule."

"I'm listening."

"We sleep with our clothes on and we keep our backs to each other while we sleep."

"That's two rules Danvers and I can live with that and I'll agree to terms on one condition."

"I already know what you're going to ask and I'm fine with you wearing a tank top to bed."

"Great."

After Maggie and Alex climbed into bed and got into the spot they wanted to sleep in. They try to go to sleep, but they just can't fall asleep. This goes on for a good few minutes before Maggie can't stand the silence anymore.

"Alex?"

"Yes Maggie?"

"Can I ask you something?"

"I guess so."

"Did you really come all the way from National City because you were worried about me?" Maggie asked.

"Wouldn't you do the same if you thought something happened to me?" Alex asked.

"Of course I would, just because we weren't together anymore doesn't mean I don't care about you anymore."

"And that's how I feel."

"What did Lindsay tell you when she called?"

"She was concerned that you hadn't showed up yet and she wanted to know if I've heard from you. I told her no and had to make sure you were alright."

"I wish I could've got there before they killed her."

"You did the right thing Maggie, I know your friend is dead, but there's no telling how many people could have been killed by that bomb if those bastards."

"I guess."

"Can I ask you something?"

"Go ahead." Maggie tells Alex.

"Lindsay told me about Jill."

Maggie tense at the name, but she still respond to Alex.

"What did she tell you about Jill?"

"That she's your daughter. Why didn't tell me about her?"

"Because it doesn't concern you." Maggie said.

"It did when we were engaged. You didn't want to have children, yet you have a daughter. So it's ok for you?" Alex said. Maggie got up and turns on the lamp beside her on the nightstand.

"You don't understand." Maggie said. Alex got up now, but neither one got out of the bed, they just sat, arguing once again.

"Help me understand."

"He raped me." Maggie tells Alex.
Alex covers her hand over her mouth in horror.

"Did you know him?" Alex asked.

"No, I victimized by him." Maggie said. "I was still living here at the time. I was walking home when someone came up behind me and dragged me behind an alley. I pulled out a switch blade and to as he said or he'll cut my throat."

"You don't have to continue." Alex said as she pulls Maggie into her arms for a comforting hug. Maggie cried for what seem like hours. When it ended, Alex let go and Maggie looks up at the woman who was still the keeper of heart. Then before she could chicken out, Maggie leans forward and kisses. Alex responds, but tells herself to stop it if goes to far because Maggie is sad right now and she doesn't need someone taking advantage of her. But does get out of hand as Alex finds herself on her back as Maggie kisses across her neck before gently biting her on her pulse point.

"Maggie we should stop before we both do something we regret."

Alex was right, Maggie only wanted to make love to Alex because she was feeling low about talking about a bad memory of her past and she thought that it would ease pain if she shared an imminent moment with Alex, but instead she was only thinking of herself and not Alex.

"I'm sorry." Maggie apologized.

"It's alright. Alex replied. "Let's forget about and go to sleep."

"Ok, but can you hold me while we sleep?" It was a bold move and pushing it, but Alex didn't see harm in so she said yes. So Maggie and Alex go to lie down and Maggie turns the lamp off then Alex wraps her arms around Maggie and holds her as they sleep.
