Chapter eight

Deedee's POV

Ringo and I had the most amazing, fun, hilarious day ever. It was late when we got back to his place.

"Haha oh Ringo I had the most wonderful day! Thank you so much!" I grinned and hugged him. He grinned back a twinkle in his bright blue eyes.

"It was my pleasure Deedee." He kissed my cheek. I gasped and stood opened mouthed. He chuckled.

"Well, um, I guess I better be, a, going now." I said sounding flustered.

"What do you mean?" His expression fell a little.

"Oh well I couldn't impose on you anymore. I still feel bad about going into your house before..."

"I don't mind about that at all. Besides you don't have any place to stay and all your stuff is here. I insist you stay."

"You sure?..." I asked quietly.

"Of course!" He said brightly, opening the door.

We walked in and set our things down and walked to the bedrooms. But I couldn't find any of our things. Paul and John were sleeping in both of the guest rooms too.

"Ringo." I whispered.

"Yes love?" He whispered back.

"None of mine or the girls things are here and John and Paul are taking up the other beds so maybe I should just go anyway."

"But you don't know where they went. That'd be like me kicking you out on the street, I couldn't do that. You can wear some of my pajamas and sleep in my bed. I'll take the couch. Then tomorrow we'll see if they know where your friends are now."

"Oh no I couldn't take your bed. I know you're tired from your trip and you need a good night's sleep. I can't."

"But-"

"No buts."

"Ok then... well... if it's ok with you... we could both sleep in the bed... there's plenty of room." He looked at me.

"Um... sure..." I said nervously. Then a large gust of wind rattled the windows and I cringed. I knew I had done that. I better not start some sort of awful storm or tornado...

"Alright wonderful! Come on let's find you some pajamas." He smiled and I followed him into his room.

It wasnt long before I was laying in the bed next to Ringo. It was pitch black and completely silent except for Ringo's loud snores. Which were actually rather comforting. I was so nervous the wind was howling outside. But at least that's all that was happening.

"Ringo." I poked his shoulder and he snorted and turned over where he was now facing me. "Ringo I can't sleep." I shook his shoulder.

"Hmm?..." he yawned. "What's wrong darling?..."

"I'm more nervous than a two tun elephant sitting in a tree on the edge of a cliff."

"What?" He opened his eyes a little and gave me an odd look.

"I don't know I just made it up..."

"It's ok Deedee, just go to sleep..." He closed his eyes and wrapped his arms around me. I laid there stiff as a board.

This had to be a dream... right?...

When I woke up Ringo was gone and I heard some arguing coming from the living room just down the hall. I got out of bed and snuck down the hall trying to be as quiet and discrete as possible.

"Ringo when five crazy birds break into your house you don't let them stay! Much less sleep with them!" John yelled his face red.

"Shhh you're going to wake her up!" Ringo whispered loudly.

"Like I care! SHE NEEDS TO GOOOOO!!!" He shouted loudly. I walked into the room and Ringo smacked John's arm.

"I'll just go now..." I said meekly and headed for the door.

"No wait!" Ringo said quickly grabbing my arm. I jerked it away from him.

"I'm sorry Ringo. You're a swell guy and all but I can see I'm not wanted here I don't know if it will all work out..." I felt my eyes tearing up. "Maybe I'll see you around." I barely squeaked out before running out the door crying.

I had to find the girls. But where'd they go?

Janet's POV

I wound up staying with William all day and didn't get home till very late. He took me to all sorts of cool places around London it was just so amazing. I got back to the small hotel and unlocked my door and quietly slipped in. My feet hurt so bad and I was tired so I just took my dress and shoes off and climbed into bed.

It feels so warm and cozy, wow, this is nice for a cheap hotel. I turned onto my side and rapped my arms around what I was expecting to be a pillow. But it wasn't a pillow. It was a person who at that moment also rapped their arms around me. I was freaking out a little bit on the inside but I didn't move or make a sound. At first I thought maybe it was one of the girls. But I smelled alcohol and men's colone. Could I possibly have gone in the wrong room?

I tried to move without waking them up but they had me in a tight, protective grip. It didn't hurt or anything in fact it would have been nice if it wasn't just some random creepy guy. I continued trying to slip away when he kinda of snorted and moaned. He moved, letting go and then turned on the bedside lamp.

"Love?" He looked at me squinting in the bright light. My mouth dropped open.

"Paul?!"

"Janet?!" He stumbled backwards and fell out of the bed.

"What are you doing in my bed?!" I said jumped up, grabbing the sheets to cover myself up.

"I don't know! I don't know what happened!" He said standing up wide eyed.

"Barbara!" I growled and stomped to the door across the hall and started to commense banging when Paul grabbed my arm.

"Don't you're gonna wake up the whole building." He whispered seemingly more calm. I glared at him and jerked my arm away. We walked back into the room and closed the door.

"What are you doing here Paul?" I crossed my arms.

"I don't remember... wait... I remember being at dinner with me girl... then....." he looked extremely sad suddenly. I felt bad but I didn't let it show. "Let's just say... I had reason for getting drunk... I remember Barbara.. I think... and now I'm here... with you...." he looked up at me with his pretty but sad puppy dog eyes. It was hard not to just melt right then and there. "I'm really sorry Janet if I had known..."

"Don't worry about it..." I sighed.

"Thank you... and I'm sorry about how I acted before... I don't know what was wrong with me..."

"Don't bother." I mumbled, cutting him off, and walked into the bathroom.
