A long line of chiefs was men and ONLY men. The chief that the village of Tuai was an man name Mike Tuai, the position he has is an respected position,and he's father has passed it down to him, and he's hoping to pass it onto he's unborn child.
Now, he's wife is pregnant and everyone expects to have the first born to be a male. It always been in the Tuai "history" to have an male as an first born to pass down the chief...The wife is praying to their ancestors to bare an male child... because if she don't bare a male BUT an female child it will be an disgrace among the village...an FEMALE CHILD CAN'T be an first born...
To have an female as an chief of the village will make other villages look at the MOST RESPECTED village different. To them an FEMALE COULD NOT BE THE RIGHT PERSON.. a female will not get no respect from the village and also it will change EVERYTHING..
