The story of the Leilani the first chief of the Salamasina village. Her father Mataio passed it down to his daughter Leilani. All of the villages was surprised because Leilani is going to be the first tiene in the Salamasina village to be an chief, the father and the aiga (family) is so proud of her. Leilani was also honored for this opportunity from her own father. In the past years of the Salamasina village, there hasn't been an TIENE to be the next chief, until now.
"Leilani, muamua le Atua and Aiga" Said her father, when he passed the TUIGA(pic on top) The village was full of happiness and joy. The feast of the new chief, the people of the village was dancing,eating, and singing. The people respect, and care for Leilani, and her father brought her to the fatu (heart) of the village and she did the Siva Samoa.
The people of the Village joined in her dancing, the celebration was amazing, the joy of the village was lovely. The people was grateful to Mataio and respect his decision for the next chief. Mataio's wife Siga looked at her beautiful daughter, and once she was done dancing, and everyone went to their homes to rest. Siga went up to her daughter, and helped her take off the Tuiga, and the "dress" . And, when they were done, she told her daughter "Leilani , one day you will find an tama who will give you all of his heart to you. And remember your dad always have an big coconut tree for u to get some and throw at ur future husband head..(laugh)..Remember to care and love him my child.
There will be trouble waters in your guys future, but remember God will be watching and guiding you guys.
"I know mom, whatever happens I will always love him, like you love dad.I will be there for him, guiding him, and care for him. He will be the only one in my heart." Lani told her mom.
The Love and Peace was among the village, everyone except Ioane was happy about the next chief of the village.
