*******6 Months Later*********
"Amber!" Jackson yelled from the living-room of my apartment. "Malik's here. And he brought a loud of crap with him." I heard a loud thud followed by a "Shut up & help me." I got up from my chair in front of the window and laid the book that I was currently writing in on it. I stretched a little and let out a loud yawn. I've been really tired these last few months, and everything has been going at 100 mph.
I walked out of my bedroom and into the living room where I saw Jackson and Malik trying to neatly stack all the clothes and supplies that Malik just bought. Malik stopped what he was doing and looked up at me.
He gave me one of his heart warming smiles and I remembered why I fell n love with him. These last few months, he's been my ride or die. He was there with me during everything. I felt extremely blessed that he was here taking care of us. I needed someone to hold my hand and reassure me after everything that was to come.
Malik got up and walked over to me. He pulled me to him as he leaned on the arm rest of the couch and kissed me, at first I thought it was because I was in such fragile state but I later learned that it was just because he was always ready to put everyone else before himself. That was one of the reason, I loved him so much.
"Unlike Chris, Malik lived s completely normal life. He was an accountant at a local bank. He had one bedroom apartment on the other side of Manhattan. He volunteered at soup kitchens and local shelters. He was always giving more than he needed to only because he cared that much. I felt lucky to have him but sometimes I felt like I didn't deserve such a great man. We met through mutual friends after I came back from Vegas. And he's been there ever since, mending my broken hurt especially after....
"Ehmm!" Jackson cleared his throat and interrupted our make out session. Malik pulled away from me and gave Jackson the evil eye. Jackson ignored Malik. "Look wouldn't this be perfect for Hazel." Jackson said holding up a navy blue jumper that had "Little Angel." written on the front.
"It would be cute for Reece." I answered back touching my stomach protectively.
Malik put his hand over my hand, which was resting on my belly. "It would be perfect for whoever."
Unlike Jackson & I, Malik didn't care what sex the baby was. He accepted us as we were. And I would always love him for that. I just looked into Malik's eyes, with unshed tears in mine, and kissed the hell out of him.
What did I do to deserve so a man
