Today is your big day. Your wedding. Oh gosh oh gosh oh gosh, your heart won't stop beating at a million miles per hour. What if he doesn't show up? What if you trip on your way down the aisle? What if you look like crap? What if you start crying? What if-
"(Your name)! Snap out of it!" you heard a voice after a smack on the head.
You start rubbing your head because ow she has a hard hand. Looking over, you saw Hungary with her hands on her hips, looking at you like you're crazy.
"It's my wedding day; can you not hit me?" you whine at her, slumping back in your seat.
She rolls her eyes at you, "Well, if you could pay attention for five seconds, I wouldn't have to!"
"Come on, Hungary, you're being too harsh on the girl. She is getting married today; give her a break," Belgium intervened.
You look down at your hands. The thought just didn't seem plausible, but here you are. Getting married. To Japan.
"But what if-" you started.
"No but's! You're going to go marry that man, and you're not going to stress over it!" Hungary interrupted, waving a finger at you.
You let out a noise of frustration and stand up. The mirror in front of you clearly shows you look gorgeous. Hair all up in a cute style Seychelles chose and did to you. Make-up all done by Belgium. Gown made, actually made, by Liechtenstein. You couldn't believe that girl could sew that well, but dang, she's good. Shoes were picked by Ukraine. Bouquet was hand picked by Hungary. You looked magnificent.
"Okay, everyone's in place, you need to start going down the aisle now," Belarus said, pushing you a little harder than needed to the door.
"Good luck!" most every one of your friends chimed while you walked out.
There it is. The wedding of your dreams. You didn't think it would come this quickly, oh no. You thought it would take years before you ever got asked for marriage, but it was only, what, a year and four months before Japan proposed?
"Go!" you heard someone whisper before you snapped out of it again and started walking.
There he was, dressed in a suit and tie, all formal. Japan. The love of your life.
Your steps grew lighter as you kept walking. Maybe you were floating on air, you couldn't tell. When you got to Japan and stopped walking, the music stopped also.
He leaned in and whispered before leaning back, "You look absolutely stunning."
"Dearly beloved, we have gathered here today..." you heard the minister talk.
Listening in to the minister was hard when you just wanted to look at Japan and let everything else in the world disappear. Wow, could this guy talk. Vows were exchanged, but you couldn't think of what you or he said; it all came as a blur of emotions.
"Do you, (Your name), take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband?" he asked.
"I do."
"Do you, Japan, take this woman to be your lawfully wedded wife?"
"I do."
"You may now kiss the bride."
He leaned in, taking your hand in his, and he pressed his lips to yours. Soft, gentle. You wrapped your free hand around his neck, pulling him closer, and he put his hand on your waist. It was a brief kiss but ever so sweet. He nuzzled your nose before leaning back and turning to the crowd of countries around you two.
You smiled at everyone, and- Whoa, okay, he picked you up. Of course, it was bridal style, and you laughed a bit at him for being so cliche.
The rest of the night went in a blur. There was cake and people celebrating and giving congradulations to you two. It was so long but so short at the same time. Soon everyone had to leave, and you and Japan were alone.
"I love you so much, (Your name)," he smiled, kissing your forehead.
"I love you, too, Japan."
