Grace
Where am I? I wake up with a pounding headache. The ground feels cold against my cheek. My eyes slowly flutter open, adjusting to the dark surrounding me. I slowly sit up and look around. There's something cool latched to my ankle and when I reach down to try to feel what it is, I find a shackle. I grab the chain and follow it to the spot where it's drilled into the ground. I take a few calming breaths as I try to remember what happened that night. I was talking to that guy, I don't even remember his name. I think it was Shawn. He wanted to be able to talk to me without yelling so we left and went out towards the lake. I remember that when we got to the lake he was going to go back because he thought he left his phone in the house. Then there was someone there. He appeared out of nowhere. Shawn grabbed my hand so we could leave and then there was pain. Blinding pain. Then darkness. My breathing starts to quicken as what happened dawns on me. I've been kidnapped.
