I woke up pretty early and since it was a Saturday we didn't have any classes. Coco: and where do you think that you're going?

I said simply as I went to open the door again

Coco: not without one of us you aren't

I sighed deeply and rubbed my hand against my face

Me: fine, Velvet, wanna come?

She got up off of the bed and walked up to me grabbing her camera first

Velvet: yeah sure, but why me?

I shrugged

Me: you annoy me the least

I said as I opened the door for her and walked out after her, we walked to the bullhead landing and waited for the next one, what with it being a weekend the bullheads were being used a lot. When one finally came we got in and I told the pilot where I wanted to go

Velvet: so where are we going?

She asked curiously as she took a seat across from me

Me: down town, I've had something delivered there and I was planning on grabbing some breakfast, we could still do that if ya want

After saying that the bullhead started to take off whilst she nodded

Velvet: sure, sounds fun

She said happily. After a few minutes we arrived and I told the pilot to land on top of an abandoned building, I got out and checked my scroll

Me: its in that alley over there

I said pointing to an alleyway at the end of the street, she nodded and we both made our way over there. The alley was pretty empty except for a trash can, I walked over to it and opened it, after digging around in the trash for a few seconds I found what I was looking for, an ornate cane. I held it up admiring The workmanship and weight balance, I let a smile grace my lips as I held the tip of it too my eye and pointing the top of it towards Velvet to make sure it was straight

Me: ahh Dominic, you've done it again

I said happily. Velvet smiled at my enthusiasm and held up jet camera

Velvet: can I get a picture?

She asked happily. I nodded and place the bottom of the cane on the ground and leaned on it slightly whilst staring at the camera

Me: how's this?

Velvet snapped the picture and smiled

Velvet: perfect, thanks (Y/N)

She said happily as I stood back up straight and held the cane in my right hand

Me: you're welcome, now let's go get breakfast

He said happily as he started walking down the street making sure Velvet was following

I smiled as he walked into my favourite diner in all of Vale

Me: let's get a seat up at the counter, I'm a regular here. Hey Luce, hows my favourite waitress doing

I call out too the middle aged woman behind the counter, she just rolled her eyes and tossed me a menu as I sat down next too Velvet

Luce: eat a bag a dicks

She replied with a voice that indicated that she was up too about two packs of cigarettes a day. I just chuckled joyfully

Me: no thanks Luce, instead for today I'd like a...plate of pancakes, and what would you like?

I asked the brown hairs rabbit Faunus sitting next too me. She scanned the menu quickly before just asking for the same as me. Luce write down our order and walked into the kitchen. When I looked to my side I saw that Velvet was staring at me weirdly but looked away blushing when she noticed I had noticed her

Me: what do I have something on my face?

She shook head

Velvet: no...it's just that you don't seem like the kind of person who just lets insults roll over you but you barely reacted when she said that too you

After hearing that I couldn't help but chuckle

Me: well yes, usually I'm much more petty and vindictive about these things but Luce is different, her insults are part of this places charm

After saying that the woman in question came out with our food

Me: thanks Luce

Luce: I hope you choke on it

I laughed and Velvet just awkwardly chuckled probably unsure of wether or not Luce was serious or not and too be honest even I wasn't sure. Me and velvet ate our food and left the diner heading back too a Bullhead landing
