The feeling of the fake screen, the appearance of a turning digital page, ...an error occurred... reloading...
The crinkle of the yellowing pages,
The feeling of the leather bound spine.
Books that had lasted many ages,
Antiques that are not mine.
The difficult journey of the little girl,
The princess in her tower.
A journey to another world,
The perfect princely power.
The boy living the double life,
The animal that could talk.
The joy that turned into strife,
The long and difficult walk.
The thrill of opening the cover,
The smell of books bad, average and good.
The story of the lost lover,
Intriguing you like a good book should.
People think i'm crazy,
They tell me to my face.
But there are some things that a screen will never really replace.
