I blink away the sadness, I blink away the tears,
I blink away my worries, I blink away my fears.
I blink away the lies, I blink away what's true,
I blink away my broken heart which knows nothing of what to do.
I blink away the confusion, I hope to win the fight,
I blink away the sun, whose joy is just too bright.
I blink away my feelings in a quick and quiet instant,
But there is only so much that blinking can do, when life is so distant.
